Bama was 2, OU was 1, and you're right on the other two. Boise was 5.

Bama was picked to win the SEC, and we didn't. The media almost always pick the SEC wrong.

They've picked LSU this year, though some have picked Bama.

You're right, but Bama was #2 and was also the pick to win the SEC last year.

It seems like group think has taken over College Football. If all it took was for a team to look good on paper why would we ever play the game?

LSU & Bama both have significant weakness (new QB & Defense respectively) which can be exploited on any given Saturday.

If all it took was talent the Saints would have been in the Superbowl and not the Giants.

Bama's D isn't weak other than at one of the starting CB positions and Nickel Back. That is it. The DL is better, and the LB corps improve in coverage overall, and run D will drop off a little from them, but like I said the DL will be better.

BS. The Giants had considerably more talent than the Saints did where it really counts: Dline. Pierre-Paul and Tuck were monsters. Name me one DB on the Saints that was better than Corey Webster. The Saints LB's were very, very average.

The Giants underperformed in the regular season big-time.

Victor Cruz is rated higher than any Saint WR and Eli is a very talented QB.

I wouldn't count out Georgia or South Carolina.

I think Carolina has a decent shot at pulling off the upset when they come to Baton Rouge this year.

Don't count out the Ole Ball Coach.

I hated Spurrier in the 90s but I've come to respect him quite a bit as I've grown older and more mellow.

I don't know what to make of Florida. Taking a wait and see attitude with them. But I expect that either Georgia and/or Carolina will be very good this year.

That's great - but do you think that Bama is the only team that's going to improve this year?

I'm not saying that it's going to be 2010 Part Deux but I know it will not be a repeat of 2011 either.

We're not improving on D. Our DL will be better, our LBs will be better in coverage, and we'll force more TOs. Overall though our pass D will fall a little.

Our Offense will be better though. 3 AAs on the OL, Saban will let AJ play like he did against LSU, Auburn, and the second half of the UT game.

Our WR corps is more talented.

A lot of teams improve. UF, UT, and AU will go from so so to great imo.

UGA has the best chance, but they won't.

But according to the media, the Saints were this decades, "Greatest Show on Turf" while Eli was the weakest link.

My point is that the majority never took the time to notice that the Saints defense was not on the same level as their offense and defense is what wins the game.

You have to play the game to know who's best
