We should have fought harder to keep aggy out of the Texas state PUF (Permanent University Fund). Or at least be given more oversight as their betters.
This Jimbo fiasco is a classic example of why it’s better to give a bum a sandwich than a $20 bill. The leadership in College Station lacks the collective brain tissue to bait a fishhook. The school is basically a ward of the state at this point, and should not be allowed to control anything related to financial matters.
Their big money alums have no clue what they’re doing and believe throwing cash blindly at a problem is the best way to solve it. Anyone who has seen Steve Martin in “The Jerk” understands why new money spends fast.
I guess it’s at least entertaining.

There are about 20-30 big donors who will eat this with oil money.
As fans we will pay higher concessions.
Thats about it. We have a 15 Billion dollar endowment and close to 300MM in athletic operating revenue.
