I don't think there's been a year where McCarron really needed to win the game on his own. Maybe a few here and there but the majority are blowouts and he really has zero pressure. There's a great run game, there's a great defense, his job is to just go out there and make sure not to throw a bad one behind one of the best offensive lines in the country. I have no idea if he's great or mediocre, and I have no doubt that we won't know.
Alabama does not need him, though, they'll be fine with their second string.

Granted the 30 number was to prove a point, but Bama had plenty of easy blowout wins under those two QBs and many were against highly ranked teams.
We also ran the ball a lot more back when those two QBs were here. Since 2012 we have actually started to become more of a pass first kind of offense.

I've seen numerous Alabama fans state that Amari Cooper was a top 5 wide receiver in college football, and that this was the best group (as a whole) that Alabama has ever had...
Cooper got a lot of hype after last year, but this whole "best ever WR corps" is a product of preseason expectations.
While a solid unit, I'm not seeing the next Julio Jones in this group.

You don't need a Julio Jones because each receiver we have is solid. This is the best group of WRs Alabama has ever had at any one time.

I don't know how anyone can watch college football with all of the outstanding players and think that AJ MCCarron ranks among them. He is a good player, maybe even a great college QB, but he is not the "Most Outstanding College Football Player". And he shouldn't be invited to New York either.
I can think of 5 players in the SEC West who have been more "outstanding", much less the entire nation.

On course for another NCG appearance and our fans still act as though their egos are predicated solely on what people on the Internet say.

The McHandoff threads are becoming excessive.

McCarron is great quarterback for the system. He makes every throw he needs to make and appears to channel Saban on the field and ensures everyone does there job. My only problem with A.J. is that there are some in the Bama fanbase that are appalled he isn't mentioned in the Heisman race.

You lose your qb and qb of the defense for sure. Most likely your top cb, wr, and some lineman

Cooper has been injured most of the year. Top to bottom the WR group is the best Bama has ever had, but Mike Evans is still better than all of them. AJ does not have a receiver with as big of a size mismatch that Manziel does with Evans.

That is not what the Heisman trophy is. Read the description from their website, not what ESPN tells you.
