That's nice and all, but not really relevant since Auburn didn't run much HUNH last year.

Malzahn doesn't want to waste any time recruiting defensive players - he wants to cull defensive players from the 2nd tier - players who are smaller, slower, that don't have offensive skills. He wants to force all teams to adopt the same strategy because he wants all of the emphasis in college football on scoring as many points as possible in an offensive contest only - Never in in any way, shape, or form competing in a defensive game.

No kidding. That may be the dumbest paragraph I've ever read.

SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF MY LUNG!!!!!!!

Why would any kid ever want to play defense if HUNH becomes the standard in college football. There's no future for any kid on defense. He is devalued - and easily replaceable with another 2nd or 3rd tier kid also who has ZERO offensive skills.

You only have one lung? That must be what's caused the brain damage, insufficient oxygen to the brain.

Gus Malzahn running HUNH sparingly throughout a game is going to cause no one to want to play defense anymore.

If you are a kid currently playing defense in high school and you're good at it - reading this thread - beware of what's going on in college football. Your defensive skills are being neutralized by high speed no huddle offenses run by offensive minded coaches that won't give your coach a chance to teach you how to play a pro defense. You will become a reactive player always on your heels reacting only - never aggressively attacking the line of scrimmage like NFL defensive players.

Your skills will be devalued and all the coach will care about is that you stay trim and fast so you can react to what you see - never think, or scheme, or attack. You'll never be part of a plan in a complex defensive strategy. You'll just be another chump - a throw away defensive neanderthal with ZERO long term value or potential to any team.

That's the future for defense players in the HUNH era.

Gus wants ALL college games to be 83-77 affairs with 3000 yards of offense determined by MEGA OFFENSIVE STARS defended by forgettable no-name defenders who try to react to the sheer speed of long strings of consecutive offensive plays but don't actually cause much interferance with the either of the offenses romping up and down the field.

That's what college football will look like if checks and balances aren't installed to stop handicapping defenses.

I guess that's how Gus signed the #1 recruit in the country this year...who happens to play defense.
College football would be better off without fans like you who don't understand shite. Go watch frickin soccer.
