Why would a school believe that these kids would be honorable and loyal?

These kids today are all about materialism and entitlement. They get rock star treatment during their recruitment and then they get PAID while they are playing. After that, if they are good enough, they get the rock star treatment again during the days leading up to the draft. They have no idea what it means to play for the tradition of the schools, school pride or the color of the uniform. All they want to know is what can they do for me! It's amazing to me that this hasn't happened already. I think this is the beginning (Manziel, Tunsil) of a lot of information coming out for all the schools. Could this also be the beginning of paying the players legally? Guess we will find out!

The threshold for shitposts on tRant is already pretty low, but I think OP just managed to lower it even further.
