why won't an elite high school qb play for spurrier?

we get one between 200-247 on 247 every couple of years, but no real elite prospects. if spurrier is such a brilliant mind, why don't five-stars sign with him? or is it the school being historically bad?

USC isn't a destination school for the NFL. The last QB drafted from USC was in 1990, some guy named Mark Ellis was drafted in the 9th round(lol).

The development of talent into NFL caliber QB's is not something you find in USC. Defensive linemen seems to be their bread and butter.

geez tiger, i had no idea it had been that long. darn shame our winningest qb ever didn't even get drafted.
