It's because of Alabama's success under Saban.

Period.

This. And it's two parts.

One: Alabama's success. LSU has been good but in the shadow of Alabama. Even Auburn--with its lower lows--managed to reach the top in this time frame.

TWO: It's under Saban, the guy who brought LSU to national prominence. It's tough enough to watch a rival succeed (read: Auburn in 2010) . . it'd be another matter to watch Saban go to (say) Tennessee and reel off 4 titles.

That's gotta suck and it dominates the LSU psyche.

If I was such a pussy about sports like you I would have killed myself before the season even started. Stick to "I" statements and don't lump an entire fan base into your bitch made threads

Why don't you let LSU fans decide what they want?

Come on, dude. It's a message board. People are here to talk and express opinions about the SEC and any SEC team.

All I'm saying is it is too early to melt because it is only game one.

Finally, Coach Miles's teams have very often looked unprepared, ill-disciplined and poorly coached. This has been going on for years, and for all of those years in the past, anybody who raised these criticisms was not taken seriously because Miles has won 75 percent of his games or something like that. The ugly wins were dismissed as just normal Les Miles football. Obviously, LSU fans are tired of "normal Les Miles football" and it is interesting to observe.

IMHO it would be reasonable if LSU decided to fire Miles for going 8-4 this season with a bowl loss. This is probably the first season in which this is true.
