Finally. A Bama fan that doesn't suck off CJM simply because he coached there.

This thread should be titled... Why was Muschump given an extra year? His arse should have been canned a long time ago. Damn Foley.

Dude you realize that 80% of Mac's success was from that nasty defense Muschamp built don't you? Lets see Mac 3 years from now when all Muschamp's players are gone.

Muschamp maintained great defense, UF wasn't lacking in that department when he was hired.

He built the team that Florida is having success with and would have virtually the same record as JM.

No chance. That Ole Miss result would have never happened under Muschamp. For the first time in 5 years we saw a well coached game and a team starting to live up to its potential.

Muschamp wasn't a good coach for Florida and left a mess for McElwain to clean up.

This is why Florida should always have offensive minded head coaches.

The athletes on defense in Florida will always make the Gators defense elite. Florida is known for their defense. Mac, Muschamp, Meyer, Zook, and Spurrier and even Hall all had great defenses (excluding a couple of outlying years, of course). Florida is always a good offensive mind and a quarterback away from being dangerous. You saw that this year when Mac and Grier were together for 6 games. When Florida gets a good quarterback under Mac, look out.

What did coach Muschamp leave coach Mac besides a great defense that has been there for 20 years. What did he leave him on offense?

Mac made chicken salad out of chicken shite when Grier was playing, and in Treon's first few games before the film showed that he can't make quick decisions under pressure.

A 10-3 team.

Why weren't they 10-3 last year? Outside of winning with the ugliest football I've seen (2012), muschamp proved himself an average 7-6 coach.

A tougher schedule. The east was a cakewalk this year.

Miles is a better coach than he is given credit for. If he had committed to one offensive philosophy and stuck with it he would have had LSU contending every year

Well can disagree with that. The defenses under Spurrier and Meyer were very stout. It will be interesting to see it Jim can maintain it though. It was actually surprising that Spurrier had good defenses being that he was the ultimate offensive coach.

Even though they had a better record this year, I thought Fla 2014 was just as good a team. I believe they benefited a lot with Missouri and S Carolina being complete garbage this year.

The only difference is HDN did it twice.

eh, kind of. He def did at Ole Miss. At Arkansas he was up and down. He went 10-4 and won the west the year before he was let go, his 9th year at Arkansas. He also finished 8-4 the year he was ultimately let go.
