Why was Washington so good after 3 straight lackluster seasons before DeBoer?

Was the PAC 12 down like the SEC this season?

Milroe did beat all of you after all.

Same reason Harsin had success at Boise St. They were good fits for those programs.

The University of Louisiana was 23-2 in the 2 years before Billy Napier was hired away by Florida.

Have Fun!

Boise State was already good before Harsin. They won 11-12 games almost every year before him for like 8 years prior. They also went undefeated 14-0 and beat Oklahoma in a bowl game.

Harsin arguably did worse at Boise than the previous coach. Try again.

Just like TCU the year before, Washington loaded up on 5 & 6 year covid guys and they beat up on 20-yearolds. That is not a sustainable model. Neither team will play for a tile again in our lifetimes.

Something like 70% of the roster was guys that Petersen and Lake recruited, back in the days when Washington had Top 25 recruiting classes before DeBoer came in.

Well it wasn't the murderers row that Washington went through in the Pac 12 but pretty solid given the level of competition.

We do realize Deboer went 12-6 in his 2 years at Fresno State in the ancient years of 2020-2021 right?

PENIX was really. really good when it mattered, well except for when it mattered most.. but a good QB goes a long way to changing how good a team is..

But DeBoner is a good coach too, he gets credit for Penix.. and he has won at other stops too.. it will be interesting to see how he does this year.

Most Bama fans have progressed to the fourth stage of grief, depression. You’re still stuck on stage three, bargaining.

Y’all just gave contradicting answers. One guy says “they were another coaches players” the other said “they were transfers”

Lol. Why weren’t those recruits good the 3 years prior?

Also, their Offense only had 5 starting seniors. 3 OL were sophomores and 3 receivers were 3rd year guys.

Just realized Harsin was head coach at BSU after both coach Pete and Bob Gregory.

Deboer was head coach at UW after both coach Pete and Bob Gregory

DeBoer seems to be a good recruiter on and good at game prep, but I don't think that he is ready for the Bama job.
He has only been head coach of a Div.1 school for 4 years.
He is nowhere ready for all the extra things that come with being a head coach at Bama: constant pressure from alumni, the speaking engagements, instant recognition everywhere, negativity after not winning big enough, and most of all, following the GOAT.

he went undefeated with the 96th ranked defense. I'd say the PAC12 was down. Offense was key to their season.

And he led them to a 3-3 record in 2020…
