This didn't go like you expected, did it Gomer? Instead of getting LSU fans upset the Aubs turned on you.

I think jennings excels in practice and les was honestly stunned he did so bad against MSU and NMSU

It did not! But I was not trying to get the Cajuns upset. I really think it might be a mistake to give Harris his first start on the road against Auburn. There is a lot of pressure to being the actual starter.

(The thread would not have taken this nosedive if I had been so misinformed about Auburn's defense last year. I really thought they were better than that!)

I don't know, maybe because Jennings led LSU to 3 offensive points against MSU and turned the ball over 3 times in 1 quarter against NMST.

At this point, I think Miles trusts Harris with the ball more then Jennings.

And I think T Reed is tied with LSU's D in Ints.

Reed has 6 Int already, that's impressive DBU.

If we start Jennings, we have like a 10-20% chance of winning, at best. With Harris, it goes up to the 35-50% range, I think. Harris can get it done and Jennings can't most of the time.

As a final point, it is worth noting that Jennings has never started an SEC road game either.

Those stats just show LSU has played more cupcakes. The corndogs gave up 570 yards to Moo State. Auburn hasn't given up more than 320 yards to any opponent. Auburn held Kansas State to 285 yards

Auburn hasn't played MSU. This is a pointless argument. We'll see on Saturday.

Well, lets look at each game to see why Harris didn't start:

Wisconsin - It was pretty obvious in this game that Jennings was the better choice at this point. He played well in the second half, and Harris looked lost.

Sam Houston St - Jennings played well in the second half against Wisconsin. Jennings played decent against SHS. Harris looked good in mopup duty.

ULM - LSU ran the most vanilla offense ever. Harris didn't play a ton or throw a ton.

Miss St - Jennings didn't play well, but wasn't our biggest issue. Harris looked great at the end of the game.

New Mexico St - Starting Harris would have ruined Jennings psyche. The plan was to get both a lot of playing time. Unfortunately, the booing and poor play of Jennings may have ruined his psyche.

It is pretty easy to see why Harris hasn't started. Any other questions?

Don't get paid to analyze, prepare, or coach football teams - never have, never will. Probably makes me like 99.9% of all TD posters.

That said, anyone who watched(es) Harris' post-NMST game interview will see that the guy has that 'je ne sais quois' that is so critical to be effective at any leadership position - maybe it's charisma, dunno.

I do not see Harris offering up a weak performance.

Both Wisconsin and Moo State have played a complete joke of a schedule outside of LSU. I am also pretty sure Kansas State had at least 470 yards of offense in every other game beside Auburn

So LSU's opponents are cup cakes because they played cup cakes- but Kstate has been a world beater in every game they played against everyone except the barn.

Stop trying so hard.
