Honest question... Do lsu fans think it would have improved anything? Or is it from a try anything perspective.

Why not?

Why leave in a QB as pathetic as Jefferswag? He looked like he had never taken a football snap in his life.

They could have put the towel boy in at QB and it couldn't have been much worse.

75% chance he would have done better.

Most just were looking for trying something else as it was obvious that JJ was having a bad game and was confused by the coverages and blitzes he was looking at. I actually believe Mett had a better chance than either JJ or JL but I am not sure if he had enough preparation.

Don't mean to diss JJ or JL, but had we had an actual QB in this game, we would not have lost. JJ just doesn't have the eyes or the patience for the pocket while JL was quick to lose confidence especially against top teams.

Good game Bama. I did enjoy it.

We will be back in it next year!!

it's from a try anything perspective, they had nothing to lose & he couldn't have done worse than Jefferson.

You could ask our players the same question, seeing as how a lot of them might not come out and say it, but they wanted him to go on the field.

J Lee had good games passing.
Jefferson only had 2, and one of them was against Western Kentucky.

JL moved the ball in the 1h of the first game (even with 2 picks) more than JJ did the entire NC game. So yeah, why not change something if it's clearly broken?

Hate to keep saying what-if. But just suppose he comes out and creates a few fast completions. Would have sprung some life into everyone. JJ killed the game and everyones morale early in the 3rd. I will say I've seen JL make some GREAT passes in the clutch. Oh well, the battle starts again next year. ; )

I guess he would have thrown the bubble screen pass more effectively

I think the bad play calling by their offense was their downfall. They really didn't take many shots down the field.

Lets take the first alabama game out of the equation.
J Lee played 8 games, and only in two did he have less than 100 yards passing.
Jefferson played played 5 games, and only twice did he have over 100 yards.

It wouldn't of mattered the way Alabama was playing the other night. They just wanted it more.
But seeing J Lee be stuck on the sideline after taking the team 8-0 hurts.

Id rather lose twice with J Lee at qb than win 1 and lose 1 with JJ at qb.

The only way JLee plays beter Monday night is if the O Line started blocking with him in the game.

Miles never made Jefferson the starter to begin with and let Lee become our main man for the rest of the season/bcsnc game.

Little of both. I'm pissed because I think we should have tried everything before giving up. I think Lee would've been effective because he is a better passer and we needed to attack with a vertical passing game. Alabama was playing up to stop the option all night and that would have left our receivers a chance to get open downfield.

that is exactly what TM7 tried to do with that foolish punt grab to start the 4th. He grabbed one that he shouldn't have fielded but he was trying to give the team some life with a good return.
