Les Miles is paid top 5 and only 1 of the other 4 coaches ahead of him is likely to lose his job. If by "plenty of programs" I hope you mean 1.

What he currently makes is not the same is what he could potential make.. that made no sense. I promise if a program lower on that list wanted him bad enough they would offer him more. I said "can offer him more money" the correlation you are making is irrelevant to my statement.

I never said he wasnt a well paid coach. Stop reaching.

It would only be marginally more and he would likely have to do a rebuilding job at that program. Not worth it for him at his age. He isn't going anywhere and everyone (except you) knows it.

He's a moron... He could succeed at Nebraska maybe... It'd have to be a program where all the instate talent flocks to his school cause if he had to recruit against another coach instate he'd do terrible.. I mean, after an official visit to both schools the kid's gonna get back home and his parents will ask, "Well Keyshawnvillanana, do you want to go to the school where the coach promised you early playing time or do you wanna go play for the guy in the cap that suffers from Asperger's ?"

Post Dolphins then. Does great at our level. Spurrier followed similar track. Harbaugh and Petey doing good at next level. Verdict is still out on Chip. I have a feeling in 3 years he'll be back, somewhere.

Even as an Alabama fan, I recognize that if Saban had not wanted to try his hand with the NFL, he'd still be at LSU. LSU had all the tools to be a champion, just like Alabama, but had never had quite the coach to put it 100% together until Saban, and then continued with Miles.

Saban isn't leaving because A.) He's older, B.) Likes being in the SEC, C.) Loves having a lot of control (something he won't have at a place like Texas), D.) Alabama is currently better suited to succeed than Texas.

I have no read on Sumlin.

When did I say he was going somewhere? I am in fact saying the opposite. The fact his phone doesnt ring and his name isnt brought up when say the Texas job opened (another recruiting hotbed), is what puzzles me. But you or someone else on this thread already explained that Miles is a coach that needs a decent situation and then has the capability to maintain that and improve it once his recruiting classes start rolling. I never knew he wasnt a build it from the ground type coach.

I self-admittedly gave him too much credit I suppose.

You're right. Saban did improve the Dolphins w/l record while he was there. But he did not dominate at all. He is best suited for the college game IMO

Do you fly the crop duster that MSU used as their fly overs a few years ago?

Did Miles not get the $5 more than the highest paid coach clause or something along those lines with the last contract. There is NO way he leaves LSU. IMHO.

This isnt a Miles is leaving thread. Its obvious Miles doesnt want to leave. What baffles me is the amount of big name programs that dont even have him on their radar.
