The Arkansas game doesn't even start until 9 PM in the East. It's basically a Pac 12 game.

I expected 'em to be at the Wisconsin-Michigan State game.
Florida-Tennessee was an odd choice, being that they were just in Bristol.

Because UT and UF are a combined 21-5 against Arkansas since 92.

UF is 9-0 against the Hogs and 1-0 against the Aggies.
and 11-0 against UT and Kentucky since 2005.

Bristol was a unique event that they weren't going to miss out on. It was also the most interesting game that week as week 2 was as bad as week 1 was good on the matchup front.

What's interesting is that Game Day is coming to Knoxville despite CBS covering the game. That's something they don't normally do. But Knoxville is always a great Game Day environment that makes for good TV and has the added benefit of being easily accessible. Also, a ton of press and tv stringers live in and around the Knoxville area which makes production much easier.

All of your reasoning is irrelevant. Game day is in Knoxville for one reason and one reason only,
It's the SEC East Championship game.

Absolutely.
I wouldn't have expected 'em to be anywhere else.

BTW ... I'd forgotten that Gameday covered the B1G during week 1 for Wisconsin-LSU; so it's not that surprising they're not in East Lansing this week.
I therefore retract my "Florida-Tennessee was an odd choice" comment.

I dunno - run, run, run, punt is a pretty good way to end a game early.
