It's about as common as a 10 win season in Athens.

You blew it. I can count 8 since Richt has been here.

Congrats. Starting 6 years ago Georgia used to win 10 games.

Also way to lose to Boise State.

That Boise state team was pretty damn good. No excuses to why we lost other than the fact that they were better. Once again, we didn't blame the officials.

Atlanta's hotels & infrastructure can handle the influx of fans who weren't sure they would be there until late Sat. night the week before the game. Lotta shite to do on Fri. nite/Sat. near the Dome before the game

I have already said in this thread to leave it in Atlanta, so the ACC can't take it, but you know that is a stupid arse argument for Atlanta over New Orleans. You can NOT get more centrally located for stadium, hotels, restaurants, and bars.
And for the poster that said NOLA was an awful airport is crazy too. Yes, it is easier to fly in and out of Atlanta. Hell to get to hell you have fly through Atlanta, it seems. It's a small airport, but it's not awful. And will likely be much better by 2018 by the time for the Super Bowl and the cities tricentennial celebration.

I mean it's a fun place but the hotels aren't set to handle 80k people within a weeks notice. I'd imagine most weekends are booked already. One benefit of Atlanta is it's rare that one fanbase isn't predominately driving home that night. I can't think of an SECCG in recent memory where both teams were more than 3 hours away.

You haven't looked for hotels that weekend in New Orleans have you? For one, we have so many hotel rooms, very few weekends wouldn't be able to handle the influx for football fans. And we both know the 80k figure you just threw out is bogus. Does the GA dome, even seat 80k? Not to mention the hotels and tickets that already booked weeks/months before the SECCG. Also December is one of the slower months in the French Quarter. Besides, the hotels would likely love whatever fans came in that week especially one week after Ghetto Classic. Thanksgiving weekend is the worst weekend of the year to work downtown here.

AND to Ole Miss AND to Alabama....

So...what does that say about LSU?

They were ranked #5 in the nation. Come talk to us when you figure out how to beat Ole Miss!

In fairness...Missouri last year and LSU in 2011.
I was born in Baton Rouge and lived there as an adult for 3 1/2 years. I still can't figure out why people want to go to NOLA. I avoided it at all costs. BUT, I am not a partier, either.

He said both teams. Last year Auburn was < 3 hours away. In 2011 UGA was < 3 hours away.

I think Atlanta is ok. Don't really care. I would like it to be played at SEC stadiums but I know that would be impossible. Would be cool to see two teams in death valley. Or lsu vs uga at the swamp.
