Missouri played Arkansas on CBS last year. So this will be 2 weeks in a row for them on CBS.

No SEC game can conflict with cbs who own the rights to first broadcast of SEC games.

ESPN still had the rights to this game despite the postponement.

TV deal must have changed then. Remember when CSS and CBS used to show games in the same time slot?

he SEC's contract with CBS dictates that every SEC team must make an appearance at least every other year. Mizzou hasn't made one this year, and I'm not sure they made one last year either.

Are you sure about this? Sure doesn't seem like Vandy makes an appearance every other year

ETA: From Wiki:

quote:

The Vanderbilt Commodores have appeared on the CBS package only five times, with a 2013 game against Georgia (a 31-27 victory) marking their first appearance since 2001, and the first Vanderbilt home game televised by the network since 1982. Before their remarkable 2014 season, when they appeared four times (including the first Egg Bowl ever broadcast by CBS), Mississippi State had only seven CBS games as part of the package.

I was shocked CBS passed on the Iron Bowl in 2014.

I don't remember the details of that years but some year they literally can't have a team on again cause they've had them so much(would make sense with Bama in 14) or they can but basically have to pay ESPN to do it so they choose not to

I'm sure that was the case in 14

We haven't. I'm not sure what rule rockytop is referring to, but I think he misinterpreted it somewhere.
