No teams in Florida have good fan support, college or pro. I don't like the "other things to do" excuse either.
Well not sure how much FSU fans support their teams so I can't speak of them.

South Carolina and Vandy have more recent titles than LSU. You'd think they might be super into baseball. It wasn't hyperbole, and it wasn't even a shot at LSU. It's just the truth.
If you want to throw in CSF and those other schools without any other sport to speak of, that's fine.

I think we were 14th in the nation in attendance this year. Not too bad. We will probably be in the top 10 once we get our ball park redone with some shade. We pretty much like all sports but love football. Football is the one sport that Florida fans strongly support.

Arkansas
Ole Miss
Mississippi State
4 fan bases in this conference that care about baseball just as much as LSU. Hell, UK has a couple of good seasons and all of a sudden they're filling up the stands for home games too.

This was always my thought on it. Too many people live in Florida that aren't from Florida originally and don't give a shite about Florida sports, at any level.

Florida supports all the sports at Florida. They're just so good at everything, they have to spread the fanbase out.

UF fan support for baseball isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. The main reason fans don't show up for the Super Regionals is that it's 95 degrees and there almost always will be a rain delay. And the stadium has no shade. Gainesville is also not a big town, most of the students are gone for summer by the time the Supers roll around.
