Why can’t Mizzou do it that way? I seriously doubt Odom went to BHam. It reads more like he just popped his top and went-off to the press.

To be honest though, it seems like this NCAA stuff flipped a switch. Taking the SC stuff out of the equation, Mizzou has in general been what I think fans would perceive as passive when it comes to slights, both perceived and real. I definitely don't know any insider info, but man it sure seems like folks are taking the NCAA hammer as an opportunity to rally the base and going on the offensive all over the place. Fan apathy is kind of at an all-time high despite steady progress in football and basketball. The shine of the SEC move is off, and the protests took out about 10,000 of the season ticket holders that are just never coming back apparently. Basketball was always going to have a tougher time in the SEC because of the intense rivalries that are no more, because Kim Anderson absolutely gutted the program, and 8:00 weekday games that are now on TV mean nobody is showing up anymore.

All of that is a long way of saying there's the possibility that this is all pretty calculated to fire up the fan base so they'll start showing up. Who knows, but it's a theory at least (although maybe not a good one).

He'd do the same thing if the situations were reversed but he has a duty to do all he can to keep their team intact. It sucks but without a 'stay away from other SEC team's players' clause it's going to happen and all of our coaches would be fricking up if they didn't go out and kick the tires on players that can transfer.

I’m not sure he actually would.

The Arkansas stuff was a mistake; one of our Curators (basically board members/trustees) said Arkansas, but at least the last time any of our journalists talked to the compliance staff, Arkansas hadn't contacted any of Mizzou's guys (which was after the Curators' press conference). Just the three from the West that were mentioned and UT.

That's what I thought, but thanks for the confirmation!

Actually, he's not and the reason we know this is because Odom doesn't have a let to stand on if there is no rule against it and if he's done it with other players.

You can honestly believe Odom wouldn't do it if the roles were reversed given that it is legal and everyone does it when they want to do it?

Or is Odom and Mizzou supposed to be treated special? That's it is it not? Odom demanded special treatment ... couldn't wait until SEC Coaches' Meetings in BHam.

Except your argument was to “handle it like a family.” Which is fricking stupid.

Fair enough. Outside of about 5 players our roster just doesn't hold. I believe one of the services just re-ranked Butch's top 5 roster to 50 (not kidding).

You know, you’re right.

Y’all never have acted like family in this conference. No matter how we’ve all gone out of our way to make y’all feel welcomed and at home here ... y’all just whaler in the black sheep poo poo and seem to relish being in it up to your eyeballs.

Y’all need to either learn the ways of the code of the Southeastern Star or, at the very least, quit acting like little bitches every time something doesn’t go your way in this conference.

The shite SC and Arkansas had to endure back in the 90s would have caused you ladies to curl up on the floor naked and crying and begging for mercy.

Even the B1G and B12 fans are LULZing at Odom and Mizzou tonight ...... a-ghin.

"Ya'll don't belong" "Go home, Yankees"

From Day 1. Doesn't sound welcoming to anyone who's sane.
