That was literally 20 years ago. I can't imagine anything more difficult when it comes to college sports than being a UT football fan. The program is an absolute laughing stock. And now, just when everything was supposed to be turning around, they flounder like feeble virgins on the field against mediocre teams. InB4SouthAlabama

So Miss St is on the quarter of a century plan for SECCG game appearances, only 5 years left.

I once attended an Alabama game at Louisiana-Lafayette.
It used to happen a lot. Then it stopped happening. Now its happening more again. Miami played at Appalachian State last week.

Beating AUburn is also what Vandy & State do lately.

Just to clarify the argument, MSU isn't playing at UMass, and I'm sure most people grasp that. MSU isn't Alabama or Ohio state. Going up to Boston, playing a game at the Patriots stadium in Foxboro can pay some dividends. Good for them.

That was damn near 30 years ago. Bama will never stoop to playing at a G5 conference school

Oh yeah I am sure they are going to really reap the rewards with that fertile New England recruiting

What are you even talking about? You are a UT fan. You can't talk shite about any other program in this league. Your fanbase is trashy, your coach sucks, your field sucks, your colors suck, and your fight song features a fricking banjo. lol

THE COLDEST GAME I'VE EVER BEEN TO
It was November, 23 degrees, I think, it was sleeting non-stop. Doug Flutie is still the 5th best college QB I ever saw. That shite affected him none. Our players were miserable. Foxborough is in the middle of nowhere so you had to drive 45 minutes in that ice. No way would I live there

Bryant had actually set this game up in the 70's as a favor. Every year starting in 83, Bama tried to buy it out and every single year ULL said no and I don't blame them. Used to go Blacks Oyster Bar down that way in Abbeville on business and that is still a day they talk about every day in that part of the state. Probably never see it again but that town was electric that day, as you can imagine.

The owners of Gillette stadium paid UMASS to schedule MSU and to play this game in their stadium. They wanted a high profile team from the SEC.
