Fact: LSU's path to the SECCG and beyond is tougher than any other team's.

We'll see the gaytors in BR this year. I'll be watching for this fear you speak of.

i mean i actually like this game every year and i thought the lsu ppl like it too, but they'd rather cower in the corner.

I am super late to this thread, but the UF/LSU game is always one of my favorites every year. I would much rather play UF than having to find a "strong" OOC game most years to balance things out.
It also gives us a pretty balanced home schedule every year. UF, aTm, Ark, AU at home this year, Bama, the Mississippi's, and a cross division game next year. Makes it worth the season ticket prices for me.
I know its getting long, but watching the games (being at the home games) when Urban & Tebow were there makes me say that i always want us and UF to play, those were great battles and both teams were near peaking each year. All other fans, UF & LSU, that complain about it are pussies. For the price of my season tickets, i want to see heavyweights play!

Yet you lost to that team that got run out of the gym in New Orleans by a CUSA/Big-East/Conference-challenged program 14-6...

Two weeks into losing our starting 1st round pick at LT & then losing our NFL caliber starting RT in the game, along with our Frosh-All-SEC LB to a broken leg & to our All-American future first round draft pick MLB-in the 2nd half for the only two drives you scored on, interestingly enough-to injury.

Yeah, lemme tell ya, we're real scared of big, bad UF. You didn't do shite against us offensively without the heart of our defense gutted. Your passing game was just like it was against everyone. Non-existent.

You lucked out that we sucked worse balls than you did on offense. Its just that in the war of attrition, you didn't lose as much as we did on both sides of the ball.

This is what I love about the SEC. I love playing you guys. I just want to play EVERYONE, and I want the playing field to be fair. Everyone needs to get this same juice that we do from playing each other. I get divisions, but I also get fairness. If you disagree, hey that's cool.

But cowards? Yeah right.

Thank you Roger. Finally a person who grasps what the adult LSU fans have been saying all along. I honestly believe that these LSU "fans" are just teens who never went to LSU or some college aged kids who attend a directional school in La.

I love the rivalry but the shite is unfair. Bama and Georgia each year play shite schedules and backdoor into the SEC championship game. If Bama and UGA would have played each other in the regular season like they were supposed to, one of them would have been sitting at home for the SECCG.

UF played 5 top 12 teams, went 4-1, while Bama and UGA played only 2 and went 1-1 in the regular season. Why the fuk should either of those teams go to the championship game?

I think the SEC should look at either getting rid of divisions or only count games played in the divisions. How can Bama avoid the top teams in the east for 3 years straight? It has nothing to do with being scared. That's bull shite. Bama's schedule last year was pathetic.

No one has said it better!!

If Tennessee was still good LSU fans wouldn't bitch about playing UF. I imagine Bama fans wish Tennessee was better too, it has to get boring after a while when your 2nd biggest rival doesn't even belong on the same field as your team.

I still think this has more to do with the rotating opponent and not the permanent so much. You can have a weak permanent, but how do you avoid playing Georgia, Florida, or South Carolina in the rotation?

See what I mean. I guess everyone should play Florida. Sounds like a plan to me. Just eliminate all Florida's non-conference games and let them play everyone from the west.

No, you shouldn't be able to avoid Georgia or South Carolina during the regular season two years in a row if we are playing Florida. Again, we played UF and South Carolina last year and play UF and GA this year while you avoid all three.

That's inequity.

Actually what they said was either the permanent rivals should end OR the division winner should be based on division record. That way, a SECW team that gets a cake eastern schedule(bama '12 & '13) can't automatically get to ATL by default.

The answer is only counting the division records for advancing to the SECCG for now. Then everyone can keep their cross divisional rival.
