I used to think this guy was a decent football coach but he seems more like a media whore. Why exactly is he trying to get us all riled up? Does Michigan even play a southern team this year?

It doesn't seem like he really needs to try all that hard.

He waves his hand -- jimmies rustle.

It plays to his recruiting base in the Midwest. Has nothing to do with the SEC in my opinion.

The B1G recruiting guys have been running this same shite here in St Louis for years and have been smoking Mizzou in recruiting battles until recently with our move to the SEC.

It's a multi-faceted strategy:
1. He needs any attention he can get to elevate the Michigan brand.
1.a. CUM has sucked the air out of the bIG10. He needs to balance that.
2. Everyone not in SEC needs to knock us/ elevate themselves.
3. He is legit batshite crazy.

Help me out here Kilo - first you say

But then you say
quote:

So it does have something to do with the SEC doesn't it?

As far as why he's trying so hard....someone else answered it, he's a media whore.

Trying a lot harder than your coach(?) is it seems. Yeah he's trying hard. And it's weird that Michigan of all places needs such a clown show to get them back in the public eye.

He's not a decent football coach. He's a great football coach.

This. Harbaugh is one of the best coaches of all time. Michigan will have a championship within the next two years.

I agree that they went too far with the ban in some cases, there are some camps that are now banned that help give less fortunate kids some help and motivation. I think there is a middle ground that can be reached on this subject. They took "get off my lawn" a little to far, imo.

He's being the perfect politician for college football and it makes him look good to HS recruits and parents but I don't like how everyone is blaming the SEC when the B1G was the only P5 conference in support of it.
