So I see a South Carolina fan and a Georgia fan mocking the way Florida is handling this vs. last year.

I was assured that only LSU fans thought Florida mishandled the game last year.

Could it be more of WHO they are playing this time and less of WHEN they are playing???

I don't know... just curious.... you tell me what it looks like.

When's the last time LSU gave up 54 points to Bama?

Face it, UF didn't belong in Atlanta, and they proved it.

Let it go, damn it, let it go!

Athletic director moved game up to noon, with the cooperation of NoCo and asked that no one out side Gainesville area attend the game and give up their hotel rooms and not to tie up the interstate by traveling to the game. What else do you want? Again, let it go. Last year is over.

So lets clog i75 with another 50000 or so

I'm assuming a lot of people are going to stay home, and that it will mostly be people from that immediate area going. Going to look more like a Spring game attendance-wise.

Textbook ad hominem when you have no valid argument.

It's not our fault UF shite the bed when they got on the big stage, proving they didn't belong.

Why did LSU play a game against Appalachian State when hurricane Gustav was coming right for the area. LSU should have postponed that game till a later date

I'm surprised you even knew it. Most of UF's shitty fans obviously didn't. Pathetic. Kudos to that awesome baseball team.

But this is a football thread.

And 16-10 was all kinds of luck; you'd better pray to the shark humping gods that you have it again, though I don't even think that will help you.

I personally think they should cancel/move the game to another date. The timing is better than it was last year but so what? People need to be prepared for a possible catastrophe not a damn football game. All of us in the south have to be prepared for hurricanes. I think the schools should have a standing agreement that they would just postpone/cancel any game within a hurricanes path. It's only a matter of time before we find a fan died trying to travel to a meaningless event.

It really is the LSU version of 9-6.

If that's the case (and it may be), then this year will be UF's version of 21-0.

Just like y'all were supposed to beat us by at least 30 last year.

Well you're the one making the argument that Bama was supposed to beat us in the 9-6 game, so...

Scheduling that as the homecoming game was such a Florida thing to do. That arrogance eventually bites you in the shark humping arse.

Bold move, Cotton.

Never. Alabama leads the all time series 51-25-5, but they have never scored 50 points or more against LSU.

Last year's LSU-Florida game was played in Baton Rouge, as it should have been, and LSU is playing at Florida for two straight years, as it should be to even things out. But, if UF's AD hadn't let his ego get involved, last year's game would have been played the week it was originally scheduled rather than forcing LSU to give up a home game and its revenue later in the season in order to make the game happen.
