Happens every single year, but I don't know that I have seen much giving them too much love. Only thing I have heard is UGA should win handily (which I think they will), but ND is tough to play at and it will be very loud and crowd will be into it.

Probably going to be the toughest environment on the road so far for Eason. However, if Eason can have a good game in that environment it'll probably be a boon for the rest of season for UGA. It'll be a really good barometer for where UGA is. I am looking forward to watching the game. I hate ND.

Also, I'd caution the record last year. GT won only 3 in 2015 and won 9 last year. ND certainly has the talent to make that kind of a turn around happen. GT lost so many games in 2015 because we lost like all our running backs and a couple of Olinement in fall camp that crippled us for the rest of the year. Not sure if ND was in a similar situation or not last year to explain the drop.

I expect Georgia to win. If Eason has progressed and the oline has improved it might be a blowout.

They lost there starting QB to graduation, 2nd string QB transferred to UF, they went 4-8 last year, they have a new OC and DC, yet they are still projected to be good? I don't see the love.

Everyone? The only ones that count are the ones that are talking with their money out there in Las Vegas. Let's wait and see what they're saying.

Here is ND's schedule:

Temple
UGA
@ Boston College
@ Michigan State
Miami (Ohio)
@ North Carolina
Southern Cal
NC State
Wake Forest
@ Miami
Navy
@ Stanford

IMO, I see 5 games they should lose with a possibility of losing losing 2 or 3 more. I think they have a similar season like last year. Kelly will get fired before the season is over.

That's actually a pretty impressive schedule

Temple is no "gimmie" - they need to be careful going into that game - I see it much like the LSU vs BYU game, a game against a "weak brand" name team that can and will step up and surprise somebody

They SHOULD win that game

UGA - I am obviously based, but they should lose this one, but noone will be shocked if they win

BC - another game they should win, but cannot afford to take lightly

Mich State - they should lose this game, but like their game against us, noone will be surprised if they find a way to win

Miami (OH) - I mean, wow - they probably have the most impressive line of of "cupcakes" of anyone in D1. But this should be a sure win

UNC - not a team to be taken lightly. Another game they should win, but could easily lose

USC - they should flat get blown out here, but this is a rivalry game & depending on how their season goes early (and their confidence level coming in). This is a winnable game for them, but not likely

NC State - same story for them all season, should win but could easily get surprised here

Wake Forest - if they lose here, Kelly should be fired before he makes it to the the locker room for a post game interview

Miami (FL) - same story as UGA & Mich State; should be favored to lose, could easily win

Navy - see Wake Forest

Stanford - same situation as UGA/Mich Stae/Miami (FL)

Best case scenario is 9 wins for the Irish IMO; worst case is 9 losses

my guess is they find a way to go 8-4

The five loses that I mentioned would be UGA, Michigan State, Southern Cal, Miami, and Stanford. The two or three toss ups would be UNC, NC State, and Navy. Best case would be 8-4 and worst case would be 4-8.

we are pretty much on the same page here except I would swap Temple for Navy as a "toss up"

They return basically their whole offense minus QB, and they return a lot on defense too. They hired all new coordinators, so IDK if that helps or hurts.

I don't think they were as bad as their 4-8 record last year. This is a like a pretty standard mediocre 7 or 8 win team. If UGA isn't careful they could get upset, that's about it.

I looked at Temple but I choose Navy instead because of the coaches. Temple lost their coach and I don't know what kind of team they will be. Speaking of Navy, I would like to see ND actually play Navy at Navy. I know in the past they played in Landover and a couple of other neutral sites but I think Navy and other service academies deserve to have some of these bigger games on their own home field. I know they have smaller stadiums but for these games, ND can get buy without making a lot of money.

This is an excellent "pre-troll". Posing the question "why is everyone so high on Notre Dame?" when no one is actually high on them (in fact you'd have to be high to be high on them) so that when UGA stomps ND it can be positioned as a bigger win but really it's about like beating a MAC team.

Huh!? ND has NOTHING to do with where Navy plays THEIR home games. Navy could schedule the game(s) on an aircraft carrier in the middle of an ocean if they so desired. I hope they do that someday.

Navy has NEVER played ND at home because NAVY has always scheduled ND at an off site location. And ND receives nothing for those games. They are Navy home games.
