Serious question. They are 8-4 and lost to UGA and Bama to close the season. Florida was the conference runner up. Why are they not in this game?

Don't know about other conferences but the ACC has a deal with the Orange Bowl that the conference runner up goes there if the conference champ ends up in the playoff. SEC doesn't do this I guess?

Florida or LSU would've made this a better game, and I'm not saying this in hindsight because AU is getting blown out. I kind of figured this was going to happen.

Auburn and UF applied, but Auburn paid a higher sum for tickets and UF wanted Big 10

The Sugar Bowl Committee gets to choose, and they usually go with the highest ranked team.

That seriously makes zero sense and makes you seem obsessed with LSU.

Auburn also probably traveled to New Orleans better. UF has not traveled well to the last two Sugar Bowls they made.
