I can honestly say, I have never seen a track n field meet. They asked me one time to run track in HS. I don't like to run. Only reason I ran when I played football was I scared I was about to get my head ripped off my neck. I scored a few TDs cause I running for my life. State has passed Arkansas BTW. Holla at me when you get to .500

Not gonna trash your coach but yeah, hit Texas hard. Hit everywhere hard. Get charismatic young guys on your staff that can relate to kids and sell, sell, sell and find guys that can be developed into superstars.
Arky isn't a high-pop state. But Arky is in a good location, geographically speaking, to recruit TX, OK, LA, TN, KS, MS, and MO as a border state to all of them so you can sell not being that far away from home to recruits and Fayetteville is nice. Arky can be better than it has been. I have no doubt about that. I'd love to see Leach at Arky ripping the SEC a new a-hole. That'd be hilarious!

Arkansas just is not a football state
Lowest aa population of any sec state, the urban areas of the state is a basketball oriented area
Perfect example there is a kid in less named Justice hill, actually the son of former coach Fitz hill, who would be a four star wide receiver at least if he concentrated on football.. probably the best football player in Arkansas right now regardless of class.. but he plays basketball and is an arknsas basketball commit and won't play after this year

I live in NC. NC has a lot of football talent. That's why we've started recruiting out here. KS is a basketball state. KS is a shite state period. Look what KSU does.

We're not a bad program.
We just suck right now.
Also, we don't have a huge black population in our state, relative to the rest of the SEC.

Guarantee you more people will remember that state team beating UConn more than any of your track and field titles. But it’s all good at this point it’s just two programs not named bama flinging poop at each other.

Right now our biggest problem is the AD. Winning is not a priority to him.. until that changes we will always suck in sports.
