Are you going to jump across to the boothill in case things get dicey with the Indians? Mix it up in Sikeston?

Was, but that contract expired.

What we paid for those games was less than a 2 for 1 series cost.

Unlike most SEC schools Mizzou will actually leave their state to play OOC games.

2011 @ Az State
2012 @ UCF
2013 @ Indiana
2014 @ Toledo
2015 @ Ark St
2016 @ WV
2017? @ BYU (not sure of the return date)

Mizzou always tries to play one quality opponent outside of Missouri. I know a number of SEC schools have not left the south this century, I doubt Mizzou will follow that lead anytime soon.

You have to be in the south to leave it

Yeah because the Mizzou athletic department has suffered horribly under Mike Alden.

For those of you wondering why a school would choose to play a challenging OOC opponent on the road there is no answer that I could give to make you understand. As a Mizzou fan I would much rather see us play at UCF, Toledo or Arky State as opposed to bringing in another directional school from Louisiana.

It is hard to argue with the results Mizzou is 23-5 the past two seasons with two East titles and even with the horrid first season 28-12 since joining the SEC.

Real teams don't do home and homes with teams not in the big 5 conferences. You guys have too much big 12 left in you.

When you change conferences, your schedule gets fricked up, when your schedule gets fricked up you play in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Don't change conferences.

That answer has been given every time this topic has been broached (174 times). Then some poster (usually a Hawg) comes along thinking they're rediscovering fire or the cotton gin and posts about our game in Jonesboro. Or Toledo. Or UCF.

I smoked a lot of weed when I was younger, so this topic may be new to me again in the future

Mizzou has played road OOC games for a long time. They are not new since our move to the SEC.

I expect them to continue with one common thread, they will all take place within the SEC footprint. Toledo was an exception due to Gary Pinkel's ties there.

Expect to see more Mizzou OOC games in Florida, Georgia, Texas and other SEC states. Mizzou cannot sustain the program on in state recruits so they will work hard to keep a presence in the south to build recruiting. The annual game in Atlanta is a nice start, thanks.

yea he's such a genius he know's how to say "please" and "thank you" when being handed huge donation checks, of course sometimes they come with strings attached.. like having to hire a horrible basketball coach, but we won't talk about that.
