Saban has consistently had a massive Achilles heel at Bama, spread offenses.

I guess we're ignoring when A&M was shut out last year, or Ole Miss the year before that? Ole Miss won this year because of the turnover margin, not because Saban shits himself every time Alabama plays against the no huddle.

Theres more to defense than just the pass rush. Bama is going to run it down Myles Garrett's throat. IMO a managed time of possession game can beat A&M (barring any freak turnovers and super lucky-plays). If Bama really wants to contest A&M's offense, they are going to have to scrap that 3-4 lineup and go with a 3-2-5 or 4-2-5 defense.

"Their favorite alignment against the spread is to play 4-2-5 nickel personnel, quarters coverage with press corners, and deep safeties. Like many quarters teams, they have a variety of checks and varieties and will move the nickel halfway between the OL and slot receiver like a space-backer:"

People don't know much about the Alabama defensive personnel. Saban and Smart don't have to line up with just the massive guys up front we have pass rushing specialists and Arkansas found that out last week in long yardage.

Tim Williams and Rashaan Evans are speed rushers. Williams has really been coming on as of late. Dashawn Hand can get after the passer. Ryan Anderson is good off the edge and the big guys can bull rush inside. Check out who leads the nation in passes defended and one reason is linemen knocking down passes. Our guys when they don't get through get their hands up and knock down a lot of balls.

Aggy has some young guys up there and they might get mauled pretty badly without help. If you're keeping in people to help they can't spread out the defense and that's that, ball game.

They won't need to run. bama's secondary is garbage.
