Why has Auburn had so much trouble beating a coach who can't find a QB?

Les has somehow managed to go 7-3 against Auburn without one good QB.

What does that say about Auburn?

It isn't finding one, it is coaching them. I don't think some of these guys were terrible, but you don't have anyone teaching them. It is time to get a qb coach at this point.

quote:

Jeremy Johnson - liked Auburn better
Dak Prescott - recruited him as a TE
Teddy Bridgewater - Liked Louisville better
Gunner Kiel - could have had him but he changed his mind
Jameis Winston-never coming here

41-7 looks pretty good right now, but I like your deflection away from the point.

Are you agreeing, disagreeing or just trying to find something to argue about?

Because he doesn't know how to evaluate quarterbacks.

41-7 was rough. Now I know how you guys felt in Tiger Stadium in 2011

It's all cyclical.

holy shite man, y'all act like QB's are veteran free agents as opposed to kids trying to learn a more complex system than they are used to in high school.

Look, I hate Auburn, and It is a well known SEC Rant FACT that TT is a internet child stalker/accused pedophile, but Sean White was an infinitely better HS QB than Harris, and based on the Auburn game Harris has given zero reason to think he could end up better.

Harris just needs to get arrested and we will take him off your hands. I just hope the little fella's psyche is not destroyed.

Valid question and I'm not sure why it's such a struggle.

We are recruiting QB'S that don't fit the offense Miles wants to run, as well.

Perplexing

Louisiana high schools just don't produce a lot of drop back QBs. Most HSs rely on running QBs.

Historically LSU has had to go out of state for QBs, mostly Texas. It's always hard to get QBs away from UT, but now add in the aerial attacks at Baylor, Tech and A&M (hell, throw in Oklahoma too), and their best QBs are staying in state. Matt Flynn was the last decent QB LSU got out of Texas, and look where he took the team.

Good question. Les was responsible for bringing in 2 elite guys; RP and Mett. We all know the history there. Zach Lee was a guy who looked like he could be special but opted for the big bucks in baseball. Harris, by what we've seen and the so-called experts, has a chance to be elite, possibly as early as next year. Definitely not a guy who draws a top 20 QB each and every year. They do have a pretty good looking kid committed for 2016 btw.

I've asked myself this same question.
I guess good QB's don't want to run 65 halfback draws a game, and I can't blame them. Now that LSU doesn't have the athletes to win running it up the middle every play, they are really tough to watch.
