scared? How many more excuses he is going to come up about the Cocktail Party? He has recently said its too hot , not neutral even though the crowd is split 50/50, Jacksonville is 20 minutes from the Georgia border, and the times I have gone, there was easily as many Georgia fans as Gators and some years a lot more than Gator fans(i.e. 2003 when Georgia was ranked #3, we sucked and had Zook, and still Richt choked), and the travel is unfair, even though UF probably has a hour and half bus ride while UGA has a 40 minute charter flight from Athens/Atlanta.

Meyer maybe a son of a bitch and yall may not like him, but this is further evidence why people like him win national championships, and Richt is running around the state of Georgia crying like a little bitch. Hopefully this is just posturing by Evans and Richt to get a few more bucks from the city of Jacksonville. It would be a shame if one of the best, if not the best traditions in football is ruined because Richt can't man up except for times he can think of a cheap and dangerous stunt.

Not very good at contract negotiations, are ya? If you don't have any real alternatives, if your "adversary" doesn't really think you'll choose the alternative, you don't have any real leverage.

So you can't have it both ways... a little bitch running around Georgia would certainly not call out the guy that he is supposedly afraid at the BEGINNING of the game, would he? Oh wait, he would probably wait until the end of a blowout....

Regardless, I sincerely doubt that Richt is "afraid" of any coach. One simply does not attain a top coaching position in college football by being afraid of competition.

I too suspect that this is all about negotiations. I think both schools actually lose money by going to Jax versus a home game since the stadium seats less that either of their home fields. I am guessing this is about getting some of that money back.

They should just play in Death Valley so the universe as we know it would simply cease to exist.

I agree. If a home and home would benefit the two schools, then that's the way it should be. Why do they have it in Jacksonville anyway? Time to end that.

Man if I was a GA fan, I'd still wanna keep it in Jville even if it is kinda unfair. First, that stadium is really nice. Secondly and most importantly, they serve beer and liquor inside the stadium (and some bad arse nachos too).

Most Georgia fans can't attend. We pack in 95,000+ in Sanford..we only get ~35,000 tickets to Jax. If it's gonna leave Jax, just do Home/Home.

I went to Bama/FSU in Jville a couple years ago and it was fun as hell. The beer was pricey, but I still happily shelled out $7 a pop.

i would hate having that game in jax every year honestly. i'd much rather a home and home if i was a fan of either of those two schools.

I loved it as a student. Have really enjoyed it in years since when I've attended. That said, I don't donate enough to get tickets to this one...and can't afford the expense of going and having a "good time" every year. I'd attend every game if in Athens.

sounds like Auburn when they wanted to move the Iron Bowl out of B'ham. However, the stadium in J'ville is much nicer than Legion Field. The home and home option has turned out pretty well, no complaints here

My understanding is this is pretty much all business driven. However, I would be more in favor of a home and home. I have never been to the Swamp (was in the military when the Gator Bowl was being renovated), and think a game there every other year would be pretty cool. Also, just to be honest, I am getting too old for the drunkfest this always leads to for me, but that has no bearing on this.

Also, that home and home isnt really any advantage, remember ol' Stevie bragging about hanging half a hundred in Athens?

Either way, I do wish that the talk about it would go away and be done behind closed doors.

I don't think it would go to a home and home. Most fans in this rivalry appreciate the neutral site. Even if it is about negotiations, Richt looks a little ridiculous when one of the reasons he gives for moving the game is because it so much hotter for UGA than UF.

As a uga fan I am shook by UF. We have been completely and utterly dominated by our biggest rival for going on 20 years. UF remains the biggest obstacle to uga going to the next level. With uf's football program having become a juggeraut that shows no sign of abating it's hard to think the momentum of the series will swing back to uga.

That trek home from jville arse-whooped and hungover is like a funeral. if changing the venue helps uga ANY than i'm all for it. and as an athenian i'd love to see that every other year revenue stay in athens. the only negative i see is it may hurt our recruiting the state of fl.
