He did prop Sheridan up during that saga, but he did run defense for AU a good bit during the 2010 season when every Bammer was begging him to bring down the thunder.

He was the one who told Sheridan to do what he did and gave him the pulpit as well.

No doubt about that.

I can never respect someone who works the irrational fans into a frenzy and then tries to disassociate himself from their behavior.

He's also the biggest backtracker I've ever heard. He used to lambast Urban Meyer, basically calling him every name in the book; he had him on after he left UF, they had a banal conversation and afterwards Finebaum continually kissed his arse.

His show is only good about a month before and during the football season. From February through July it's bad radio. When he devotes half of his show to the same 10 or so callers everyday, I would rather listen to NPR.
I've read those same words about this forum.

He's a well articulated man. Great public speaker! He never has notes. He stares straight into the camera. Has a huge vocabulary and asks tough questions in interviews. Very intelligent and has a great sense of humor too. I think he represents the SEC well. He runs one of the most popular radio shows of all time. You have to give him some credit.

Because he's a troll - a sports shock jock half the time and I'm convinced he does it to summon the dumbest fans he can find because that = entertainment/ratings.

It's not Paul , it's the make up of the show. When he had guest or is giving his opinion it's not bad. But the same callers day in day out , the same comments. Even if he actually had open lines with different callers each day it would be so much better.

His lines are open. Anyone can call in but most of you would be too sacred to do so.

Im not a fan of ani (plural of anus, I believe) on the radio.
His callers don't talk sports, they only talk about how great they are. He gives voice to people who don't need to have a voice. Makes the SEC fans look very stupid. Of course all his callers are people who don't work obviously and can sit at home and drink in the afternoon. PF is their only social contact.

Hey - you only wish you could do that. (Wait - what time does his show come on? I have certain constraints.)

Well, if he would just be upfront and admit that he is on the Bama payroll, I would have a little more respect for him. His blood runs crimson tide.
