Right, it had nothing to do with the Fort Knox level of coin Snyder paid him. That deal was crazy. Go back and look at what coaches made back then.

I guess Saban spent too much time in Baton Rouge.

Nah. The LSU folks are just worn out from 12 days of hardcore trolling...the occasional Gator is just spelling them for a bit.

Spurrier said that he was frustrated that the fans weren't satisfied with going 11-1. And he despised the recruiting grind. Snyder was not the reason he quit UF.

I'm pretty sure that you know how to google to corroborate. Unless you're scurred.

Right. Because people always say, "I did it for the money." This isn't porn. Normal people have a problem admitting an economic motive. He had like the richest deal in sports at that time. Sure, that had nothing to do with it. google it and stuff.

Had you rather have a control freak or train wreck...

like Florida had last year.

or quitter
like SoCar had this year.

or flash in the pan
like Auburn has

or mediocre coach that wastes the states resources every year
like LSU has?

Urban Meyer has 3 NCs yet he hardly complains. Les is a great coach on Sabans level and he hardly complains. Hmmmm

I'm convinced. You think either of them would come to Bama?

Some people (gators, tigers...) have issues with brutal honesty, and winners.

Les is our most successful coach ever and is an awesome dude away from football. I would love to have Saban or Urban coach LSU, but that is aa far as that list goes for coaches I would rather have. Les isn't just our coach, that man is a part of the community. Is Saban or Urban?

Of course he is. Are you implying that he is not?

I'm actually not sure. I'm sure he does his required stuff and likely does volunteer work. But I recall hearing people say how private he was when he was out (which he is entitled too). His personality fits Alabama perfectly. He only focuses on the process and everything else is a distraction. Alabama fans don't care if a coach is a good and friendly person. They want someone who is 24/7 about winning.

It is similar to Bill Bellick. Neither guy is warm and fuzzy but damn succeesful because of it.
