I misread your quote. I thought you stated that Bama always has a bye before LSU. You actually said Bama had a bye every year that LSU had a bye before the game.

Just an FYI but going back to 1980, Alabama had nine seasons that they had a bye week before playing LSU.

scheduling that far back was completely different. In the last seven years they have had the exact same number of byes before the lsu game that lsu has had.

per the other posters research.

You probably have to go pretty far back to find where that didnt happen.

2012, actually. But 4 our of the last 5 years Bama has had byes...I stopped looking at that point. I'm sure the OP thought it was a good idea for a thread at the time he made it, though.

true but based on the chart we also had a year recently without a bye.

last 7 years both teams with 5 byes, 2 non-byes.

The committee will penalize Bama when they get to skip South Carolina, Florida and Georgia every year

You know that won't happen. The media and the NCAA does nothing but ride Bama. They'd ensure Bama was voted in.

I tend to look at a troll and discredit it. So, when the troll said LSU needed two weeks to prepare for Alabama every year, I looked at Alabama's schedule to see how many years THEY had an off week before LSU. I did not look at LSU's schedule.

Your research proved the point i was attempting to make. (Obviously I did a poor job) That Alabama needed the same two weeks off to prepare for LSU that LSU needed to prepare for Alabama.

Simple answer. Over the last couple of years with the temporary schedule in place, LSU needed a rest to recover from the gauntlet of playing east heavy weights Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Bama not so much with the likes of Kentucky and Tennessee.

Ole Miss logo and says Ole Miss fan, but he's a bama fan. I really should learn to just stay out of stuff like this.

You could craft an argument instead of pulling out strawmen related to a team icon to discount another poster's credibility while losing the little that you think you have. Go frick yourself troll.
