It's baffling. Is he LSixU's Mike Hamilton?
The HCs in this league may be as bad as it has ever been and the ADs have bowed to the pressure of trying to attain Bama-esque excellence. That is damn near impossible to duplicate.
The only competent ADs IMO is Battle, Strickland, Long, and whoever Vandy's and UK's ADs are. And Battle is just riding the wave right now.

I know auburn fans like to dog jay jacobs. He hired pearl and myers (softball) and should get a lot of credit for those two.

I've been saying this for a long time. He seems to constantly get a pass for the multiple shitty hires/decisions he has made. It doesn't help that he is an arrogant a-hole. If he was good at his job I could handle him being an a-hole but the fact that he has a shite personality and is incompetent makes for a bad combination.

I've decided that Alleva has some serious dirt on LSU's president Alexander and has been blackmailing him in order to keep his job.
There's just no other explanation for an SEC school with LSU's resources being led by such a simpleton.

And what has Long done to get your stamp of approval.
Agree Alleva did not handle the LSU football coaching decision last year the this season well and to be honest until the boosters raise enough dissent to the Governor then Alleva will stay.
Now remember the AD is in charge of every sport so judging the success of the football program is not the only criteria. We are talking about student athletes, education and graduation rate so having a championship football team is only one of the many sports under the AD's job.
Sid, do some research for the last 10 years for each school and all their sports and put some facts out there to support your opinion.

So true. You must understand that footbawwl is king at bama and they don't have the attention span for sports with more nuance (or any nuance at all), like baseball.
NASCAR, bass fishin and WWE wrasslin are more popular than any other sport to the vast majority of bama fans.

Bama has never been to the final four in basketball, and have only 1 regular conference title in 30years.
Bama baseball is really bad also.
They have never won a NC , and have a whopping 2 regular season conference titles in the past 30 years.
I do think they have done well in a sport that is really popular with 5'2 200pd lesbians.
