Because they are very talented. They were decimated by injuries last season. They had third stringers that were having to start by the end of the season. Don't sleep on UF. They brought in a solid OC. BOOM knows D. If they can find a pulse on O, they will be a tough W.

I'd like to hope that Skyler Morningwheg doesn't start three games next season.

I'd say Florida is more like 2013 Mizzou than 2013 Auburn. Injuries that hurt a talented football team and when they are back at full strength they should compete with the best.

Either we suck again and get a new coach. Or we succeed. Either way you have to be optimistic.

Let's hope Andre Debose has learned to run more than one route.

I think UF will implode in 2014 and look for a good coach. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing. UGA might want Muschamp to go 8-4 and keep his job.

As a Tennessee fan, it won't matter either way.

I think there are a lot of parallels with the 2013 Mizzou squad and this years UF squad.

They were decimated by injuries the year before.

Predicting Florida this year is a total crap shoot. One thing EVERYONE knows, despite the hate, IF and I say IF, Roper is the right guy to fix the offense, then everyone in the conference is on notice. Because with a healthy Muschamp defense, UF only needs a servicable offense to beat anyone in the conference.

By "implode" do you mean something like losing 9 in a row?

Why does every talking head think UF will be really good... The team last year wasnt so bad actually until the injuries really added up. They lost both starting ots, their best dt, 5 lbs (at various times, some season long), they lost their starting qb and starting rb too. Also their starting guard played hurt most of the year cause his back up was playing tackle. They had 11 different ol lineups in 2013. They didnt have the same defense line up at any point from game to game last year. One of their best corners missed six games, they lost their starting end and the back up tackle that startrd for easley got hurt too It was an unmitigated disaster. Perfect storm type stuff. Even with all that they were one score away from beating miami, georgia, and usce, and they were within one score in the 4th against mizzou and lsu. So now they have what looks to be a better offense, they are 100% healthy, and they have one of the most experienced qbs in the conference surrounded by a much better team. Whats not to like?

The LSU game wasn't as close as the score. I do believe that it was an injury plagued year but losing to Georgia Southern and another subpar perform this year will lead to Muschamp's dismissal.

The Gators got into LSU's redzone twice in the 4th Q with the score 14-6. I'd say that game was pretty close.

The game was definitely close. UF had two chances to tie that game late. Only revisionist history says the game wasn't in fact close.
