Shouldn't one of the two lay claim to this, and the other have their own name for their spring scrimmage???
I used to just assume that A-Day stood for Alabama, but just recently have seen where it is also used for Auburn's spring game. Just seems odd to me that two SEC schools from the same state have the same exact name for their spring game. This would never happen in Mississippi.

Which one of the two originally named their spring scrimmage A-Day?

Yeah, honestly it really is.

I personally think one school should claim the name A-Day and the other should find a new name

Both of our schools start with the letter A. I have no idea who came up with it 1st though I wouldn't be oppossed to changing ours to something with a little more swag.

I know they both start with A, but it just confused me that two schools that hate each other as much they do would agree to share the same exact name for their spring games.

So we can share households and meals together, but we can't share the letter "A"

I'm stuck in my ways, i like the fact that they're both called A day. That way rival fans can ask eachother "you going to A-day"

Why? A-Day refers to the alumni gatherings, permanent captain ceremony, legend gatherings, etc. The Crimson-White game is the football game.

I have literally never heard anyone gripe about both schools having A-Day...I think we're all fine with it, thanks.

1. Its a spring game
2. I doubt they sit down and talk about what the name should be for their spring game.

Yall folks over in Alabama must get along better with Auburn better than folks here in Mississippi that are Bulldogs and Rebels get along.

We disagree on everything and would never go with the idea of having the same name to a spring game, or the same name to anything.
