EL WRONGO

It was Bamas turn to play Vandy again the UGA followed by Kentucky.

The SEC inverted Vandy and UK that is all.

Kentucky was supposed to roll onto our schedule this year. That's what happened.

I think if we were on a regular rotating schedule there wouldn't be as much complaining. In 2011 when UGA had the easier schedule than USC that was just the way it was.

Since then the schedules have been crafted with no transparency and some of teams (UGA and Bama) have benefited tremendously from the schedules that were made.

It was Bama's turn to play GA this year, if we followed the rotation. However, due to the two teams we added to the SEC last year, somehow, GA suddenly dropped from their schedule and showed up on LSU's schedule. Even though the last time LSU played GA it was in Athens, we once again got a game against GA in Athens. Oh, and I believe instead of GA Bama got Missouri or was it Kentucky.

Partly right, mostly wrong.

Bama was supposed to play UGA in Tuscaloosa last year. The game with aTm at home replaced the game with UGA at home.

Bama was supposed to play at Vandy last year. The away game at Vandy was replaced with an away game at Missouri.

Funny that LSU fans always pick up on the missing game with UGA, but ignore our missing game with Vandy. As it turned out, the strength of schedule swapping aTm and Mizzou was pretty much the same as if we'd played UGA and Vandy.

After last year, it's been back to the normal rotation for Bama except only single games instead of H&H...one game at KY this year, one game at home vs. UFla next year, etc.

Not true in Bamas case , we just so happened to play Forida and Carolina twice since 2009.

So when the bridge schedules came out we had the better schedule DUE OUR BIG BAD AWSOME NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING CRIMSON AZZEZ....

I don't understand why this isn't UGA.

UF played in Tuscaloosa in 10. UGA hasn't played there since 07

Well, why not Kentucky? They haven't played there since 08.

The reason is because they just skipped a whole leg in the rotation.

Bama's east rotation since 07...

07: UGA, @ Vandy
08: UKY, @ UGA
09: USCe, @ UKY
10: UF, @USCe
11: Vandy, @UF

What was supposed to follow was this:

12: UGA, @ Vandy
13: UKY, @ UGA
14: USCe, @ UKY
15: UF, @USCe
16: Vandy, @UF

In 12, UGA, @Vandy was replaced with ATM, @Mizzou.
The leg that should have been 13 was skipped entirely.
Instead, we are playing the 14 away game (UKY) in 13, and we're playing the 15 home game (UF) in 14.

Ok but
1) its not like everybody is following that formula and
2) why would you go to the 14 and 15 opponents on the previous rotation before the 12 opponents.

Because not everybody added ATM and MIzzou to their schedule. The SEC gave ATM and Mizzou marquee cross division home games (Florida and Bama) to generate even greater excitement for the move to the SEC.

This, and it was Kentucky that was added to replace Georgia.

I think this concept is as new to us as it is to you. Please do post if you find out what is going on.

So it is random and not based on a regular rotating schedule like before. Gotcha

I'm just ready for a set rotation so that scheduling bullshite will at least be coincidence and politicking in the SEC home office. If those bozos can't figure out how to set a regularly rotating schedule that can be applied to a 9 game conference schedule if/when that happens then I have no faith in humanity anymore

Bama got a pass. They were due for UGA to rotate on their schedule, but their buddies in the SEC office were kind enough to give them Kentucky and LSU got UGA again.

I think that the "schedule" talk is bullshite, I was just answering the question

YES, the gripes from SC the last 2 years and LSU have SOME merit, but that shite will even itself out eventually

the LSU vs Bama game will determine the West this year, like it does most years...

Exactly. South Carolina fans should just accept that their team wasn't that great in 2011 and 2012. I think what hurts them is the fact that they beat Georgia and lost the division. On the other hand, LSU has finished higher in the SEC West standings when they have beaten Alabama. So the real issue is that LSU lost to Alabama twice last year, which cost them 1 or 2 national championships.

Not at all random. Try to keep up. Like I said, it was to give ATM and Mizzou marquee home cross division games. How can you have exactly the same rotating schedule as before when you add two teams to the mix?

If you do your homework, you'll see that they did the same thing with Florida's schedule

07: Aub, @Miss
08: Miss, @Ark
09: Ark, @MSU
10: MSU, @Ala
11: Ala, @Aub

What would have happened without ATM or Mizzou:

12: Aub, @Miss
13: Miss, @Ark
14: Ark, @MSU
15: MSU, @Ala
16: Ala, @Aub

In 12, Aub, @Miss was replaced with Mizzou, @ATM
13 was skipped. They moved the 14 Ark game to 13 and the 15 @Ala game to 14.

They did exactly the same thing to Florida's schedule that they did to Alabama's because those were the two teams they let ATM and MIzzou play inaugural home cross-division games with. Nothing random at all.

So why didn't our buddies in the SEC office give us our home game with Kentucky and our away game with Vandy? What the hell happened to those two games?

Idiot.

Here's another thing...Bama's 2012 home game with Georgia was replaced with ATM.

I'm guessing that no one in this discussion know's what away game replaced the Bama game on UGA's schedule.

Go figure it out, then come back and say Bama is the team that caught a break.

EDIT: If you really understand scheduling, you'll already know the answer before you go back and check.

Congrats...We played UF and USCe in 2012. You played UT and Mizzou.

This season we play UF and UGA. You play UT and Kentucky.

Yeah, that's fair...if you're a Bama fan!
