Florida had every chance to play this weekend. They refused to play bc they were scared of losing. Now, they need to bend over backgrounds to accommodate LSU. Florida intentionally created this mess.

Why is Florida the only school that couldn't play this weekend?

Maybe Arkansas will finish with a better record than LSU this season for the first time in 14 years.

But no, probably not.

Except Gainsville on 11/19 because you need that S. Alabama game so badly, so you can be bowl eligible.

Why push this false narrstive?

Right or wrong UF thought the game could play until they thought it couldnt.

11/19 isn't happening

Baton Rouge needs $15 million positive impact of an LSU home game. LSU needs to fulfill their responsibility to the residents of the state. Not a hard concept

Gainsville is losing revenue from a lost home game as well, so that argument is also moot.

"Anytime Anywhere?"

Gainsville 11/19.

"Oh, we can't do that either. "

Florida created this shite show. We shouldn't have to clean it up for them. THEY made the decision not to play Saturday, Sunday or Monday. We should not change our schedule to accommodate them.

Look at what SC did last year and this year. That is how you handle this.

Florida also loses a home game in this scenario

How do you figure this, you will be playing a home game that day either way. Are you even thinking of what you posted.

Move your cocktail party and Georgia game.

beside the point. why even mess with that game when the game could have, and should have, been played this weekend like every other school in fla. i don't understand why some people make this so much more complicated than it is

You refused to agree to the scheduled time and location, then refused to travel to the location, Florida had no choice but postpone since LSU refused to show.

that was going to happen anyway because, well, HURRICANE. the point is, the game could have been played anyway in about a million scenarios and the rest of the schedule wouldn't have been affected one bit. it's not rocket surgery.

Are you cereal??

If they replace Prezby with LSU... they have lost a home game. Here is the math

LSU game = 1

Prezby game = 1

That's 2 total games

IF LSU replaces Prezby, then Prezby game is not played. So...

LSU rescheduled = 1 game

Therefore they had 2 home games and now will have 1. Whether LSU or Prezby as scheduled... it will still just be 1.

Yikes.

You were gifted extra revenue from an unscheduled home game last year.

1.) it's not one else's fault of the local business didn't save this revenue for a rainy day.

2.) You are not entitled to an extra home game because you don't want to play on a wet field in Florida.

Shhh...don't speak logic to them. There is no reasoning with them. They'll call you a pussy and throw corn dogs at you.

No not really, the first home game was canceled and this means the first home game was canceled. LSU had nothing to do with this, Florida dragged their feet on moving this game to another venue or playing the game on Sunday or Monday. With the game being canceled Florida lost a home game. So we all agree that Florida lost a home game and most likely covered by insurance and lets all move on.

To make things clear, the Florida/LSU contest scheduled on 10-8-16 was canceled due to a Hurricane hitting the Florida coast. This means the contest was canceled. The decision to cancel the home game was the correct call with a unpredictable Hurricane headed to the Florida coast.

Florida has a home game 11-19
LSU has a home game 11-19
If LSU cancels this home game and Florida keeps its home game does not matter who they play then this means Florida keeps its home game and if LSU plays on 11-19 in Florida then LSU loses its home game.

The point is the Florida/LSU game could be played any day but if LSU has to cancel its home game then they lose a home game, Florida already canceled its home game against LSU this is history

The decision to reschedule the Florida/LSU game is up to the SEC and they have total control of the SEC schedule and can easily reschedule the Georgia/Florida contest from 10-29 to 10-22 when both Georgia/Florida have open dates. This would mean Florida/LSU game can be played on 10-29 when LSU has a open date and back to solving the riddle when no one loses a home game.

i get the impression you don't understand how time and economy work. the school/metro area didn't save money for a flood they didn't know was going to happen. it was an exceedingly rare flood, as in a 1000 year flood in some places

there wasn't that much money to save from a last minute game

lsu was just fine playing on a wet gainesville field. do you even know what happened?
