Like most African-American majority urban public school districts, the leadership in LRSD is absolute shite. Too many chiefs, not enough....non-chiefs.
LRSD should probably consolidate a few of their high schools and make more efficient use of their tax money. The bussing/de-seg stuff should all stop, too. The best thing for Little Rock as a city might be to bust up that school district into 2-3 smaller districts and put more local control in the hands of the neighborhoods.
Charter schools are booming there.
