What does it matter?
Had they purposely not cut them down I still wouldn't have a problem. They beat Florida, Auburn, and Arky; that's certainly not very impressive and not what this team set out to do at the beginning of the year. I have no problem with Cal wanting to keep them grounded by basically saying "you haven't won anything yet".

Why do you care? Why does anyone care? If they did forget, oh well. They forgot. If they didn't cut them down because they're waiting to cut down more important nets, oh well.
This conference could use a wake up call. It's not very impressive to beat up on midgets week in and week out. When you've won more conference tournaments than every other program combined... well, it's just not fun anymore.

It's not a big deal either way.
The winning conference tourney team isn't contractually bound to cut down the nets. It's not a sign of disrespect if they don't do it. And if they won't be honest why, that's their own mental preparation stuff from the coach. They don't owe us anything and we don't owe them anything.
