I just don't like the insinuation in this thread.
I think this thread is an unsupportable flame of the NCAA and UTk.

the scope is so large now i don't think it will ever get under control.
the new problem could be so bad it actually might do more harm then good to do a thorough and fair investigation.
That investigation would end up on the doorstep of every university in the sec.
everyone is takin care of, especially if you stay for the home team, and indirect benefits will always be beyond the reach of the ncaa.
Now i guess they could make an example out of someone, they could have with ohio state and auburn.
they are showing their arse with usc right now too.
clemson, tennessee, ole miss, alabama, auburn, every florida school, texas, ohio state, usc, oregon, arizona, penn state, georgia, mississppi state etc etc etc etc etc.
all have bones burried and of course probably us too.
what needs to happen is a resonable approach to:
fair compensation to signed athletes with a sliding scale for your sport
a overhaul of signing policies, you should be able to:
A. transfer without penalty
or
B. early signing period
x amount of dollars should be put in a account every year you play. If you do not make the nfl you still have a little something for making other people filthy rich. If you don't graduate you don't get it.
and yes it sucks, but football makes alot more the womans volleyball, and you put your life in danger.
I really like how people try to make everything fair when everyone knows that the reality is,
LIFE AINT FAIR

A scholarship is worth in the 50k range or more. Plus that's not mentioning all the benefits youll reap from having a degree and the networking you'll be able to do at a major university. Athletes are well compensated IMO

so your fine with the way things are then??
how much does lsu make on football tickets for a game? how much a year?
how much does espn, sec, bcs, cbs etc make of these athletes?
how much does nike, rebok, etc. make?
what about the absurd salaries these coaches get?
point is, there is so much at stake coaches are willing to do whatever it takes to win. Might as well bring it out in the open

How many of these athletes would have a free ride, tuition, books, food, room and board without their respective sports not to mention the prospect of going pro ......I'm not saying things are fine but paying amateur athletes would take the passion out of college sports which is why I would take it any day over pro ball

But with the millions being made seems like they could police the sport a little better to put everyone on an equal playing field.
These athletes should at least be given insurance policies, even if just the ones projected to go pro to encourage them to stay in school for their senior season. I think some would.
Again ...just my opinion.

Man, Maybe, but I typically cringe when I read his post. He comes across as a bitter and his post have a "Why's everybody body always picking on me" tone. I am a cynic, and it is even hard for me to believe that Cadello really believes that the NCAA offical's were bribed, but I know he does. Do you realize the magnitude of the accusation that is?!? I doubt it, although I am sure you will claim otherwise. When you say irrational things like that, it discredits your rational arguments. It's like the conspiracy theorist. While the occasional conspiracy is valid, anyone who endorses all conspiracies is irrational and should never be taken seriously. It amazes me that someone can write a grammatically coherent post filled with incoherent thoughts.

I agree they should increase the monitoring of the fishy things that may or may not go on.

So do you believe or not that the NCAA was bribed? If you constantly post things that you don't believe, it makes it difficult to know if you are as ignorant as you come across. Keep taking pride in that post count bro, your really buring me up good with that one!
