Ole Miss received virtually nothing from their efforts, no sec title game, no national championship, and now are on probation with the NCAA.(should be death penalty)

The Mizzou basketball program has received commitments from the #1 overall player, and two additional 4* players with the possibility of adding two more 5* players in the coming days. We didn't have to pay them to committ to our school though because the World knows the Mizzou brand is one of the very best, and we will be hanging a final four banner possibly next season if everything falls into place.

5 star Tilmon is a lock for us. If we also land Knox(#7 overall player in the country who visited this weekend) over dook and UNC, this board we'll melt and call us the Ole Miss of college basketball recruiting

Cool, Mizzou hired a players' dad. Bandwagon recruits followed. Where have we ever seen this end up well before?

I'm sure the fact you hired his father had nothing to do with it.

I blame the internet. Kids these days just don't appreciate the opportunity to curl up by the fire with a Faulkner novel and a plate of Abner's chicken tenders.

Many reasons for this actually. The most important reason is ole miss total lack of success in football. Just a hunch. Would you rather be on ole miss team playing lsu bama or auburn or on one of their teams playing ole miss? You have your answer.

All recruits get paid. Even the shitty ones.

The NCAA only cares when some schools do it, because college sports is a caste system.

Ole Miss wasn't just paying recruits to commit. They were giving thousands of dollars to recruits just to not visit other schools. Declining visits or canceling visits to places like Bama, LSU, & MSU brought in the most $$$.

Some schools cheat alot more than others do. Some schools have to cheat more than others, like ole miss, because they cant possibly recruit with the big boys otherwise. Some schools also do it the stupid way and are so blatant that they get caught. It was really obvious ole miss cheated their asses off when they had zero success for 40 years and signed a top recruiting class. That's dumb.

Mizzou could easily pay Porter Jr whatever amount he wants and the NCAA can't do anything about it. Wanna know how? The dad can be hired and then they'll "increase his salary" behind the scenes. Wonder where that money will go...

Cited from which NOA? Mississippi's addendum NOA indicates otherwise

Yeah, it's never good to have your Asst Athletic Director administering payments to players and orchestrating the $$ exchange between boosters & recruits.

Again, we need a source. MSU paid an MSU signee, and they were punished. Mississippi also paid an MSU signee. That's all that has been proven

ETA: we paid Redmond to keep him from UGa, not OlMiss
