He made positive comments about Katherine Webb.

I think those comments are the biggest reason why he's currently doing play by play on SEC Network games instead of nationally televised primetime games with Herbstreit.

I found that "explanation" more discomfiting than the initial word vomit.

About five or so years late IMO. However, that was just bad as he responded to twitter critics as he defended domestic violence. BTW redshirt for punishment on a deal like that

I was more bothered by him calling the SEC "our conference" when the Okie fans were chanting SEC. Dude, you aint us.

Ok, not more bothered than his comments about Mixon, but his our conference comment was personal!

Thats cause to truly believe that these guys are going to change behaviors embedded in their personalities is stupid and beyond short-sighted. Mixon is a piece of shite who Stoops should have thrown off the fricking team.

He felt passionate about giving the kid a second chance and using the event as a teaching tool.

Either way he mentioned the kid, one side would have been mad about it.

He said that the second time when he was pissy. The thing that made me wrinkle my nose in the original comment was his hope that Mixon had a good NFL career- which is fine but the hope should be that he learned his lesson and will go on to be a good person blah blah.

Jameis Winston didn't get away with anything. He was cleared of any wrong-doing by at least 3 different investigations. That cleat-chaser (her words not mine) was/is a psycho liar.

All three of those "investigations" were internal ones by FSU. He refused to cooperate with the police, so they were never able to pursue charges. But as for BM, most media accounts today are saying he/the show was getting bombed with tweets about his comments & his producers got in his ear & told him to make a statement. Which quite apparently pissed him off.

Honestly, my view on this is simple. Let someone hold Mixon down and beat the shite out of him.

After that let him live his life. Equal retribution for all.

Half of Bama's two-deep are offenders in some capacity. Throw in the dirty boosters, refs, suit retailers and car dealers you'll have a nice little ring of organized crime.

Wasn't he the one that during a game asked "whats up with Britney"?

Who?

"Britney Spears" ..... he just likes young people.

Brent's praise of the "fine young
man" was not helped by Mixon prancing
around like a conquering hero, while
egging on Auburn fans who were yelling,
"he hits women,"to get louder---and then that
wonderful moment when Mixon's teammates laughed and mockingly pretended to punch him in the
head.
Even before Musburger jumped in, angry at
viewers who didn't care for his gushing speech
wishing Mixon all the best, the debacle had
all the appearances of a cheap traveling
carnival show.
