Most people think that A&M has been this much of a juggernaut, in terms of resources, forever. Really the move to the SEC in 2012 was the first time in my life I saw Texas A&M as a whole commit to athletics seriously and believe they could be a real player.

When will that happen? At least Missouri has won two division titles, and was a 2013 national championship contender.

Um, they just brought in a recruiting class better than any one Saban ever had. And they're about to do the same again. Give 'em time.

Missouri was in a down east. Right place right time. If you’re calling their 2013 a national title contender then we were a national title contender in 2020. We had a higher postseason finish.

Our “advantages” haven’t been as great as they are now. The fact that we were a small all male military feeder school for half of our history didn’t help either.

Aggies always bring this up and it is bizarre. The only thing that a&m ever did that mattered in the history of college football happened when you were a "small all male military feeder school."

Intellectually, you are at war with yourself, and you don't even realize it.

As for your recruiting prowess, as a Texas-Ex, I can speak to this. Recruiting success doesn't always translate to success on the field.

Maybe 2014 . . .that was a bizarrely mediocre Sooner squad.

2013 Missouri > 2020 Texas A&M

After Aggie loss to Alabama, they needed a prayer for other teams to fall to get into the CFP.

The 2013 SECCG was a de-facto national championship semifinal. Both entered with one loss. Missouri lost to South Carolina in OT during the season. In the final polls, SCar and Missouri finished #4 and #5 respectively.

Your point is at war with itself

So you believe if Aggie was still a small military school they would be in a better spot now for success?

And everyone outside of longhorn recruiting can see the emperors been naked for quite some time

You should worry about going 5-7 ....with another loss to Kansas instead of those mean ol "under performing" Aggies.

I’ll tell you one thing I am going to enjoy, and that is the rivalry between Texas and A&M…reminds of the Iron and Egg.

The difference is those rivalries stay on the field.

Get back to me when Mississippi State tries to close your school and turn it into an asylum or block allowing a law school to affiliate with your university for 50+ years.

A&M didn’t really come into it’s own until the last decade. Need to win in the next decade or so. Fisher has no more excuses if he cannot win with Weigman. Schloss may be the best coach on campus right now, though. Baseball team will be even better next year

I reiterate from earlier. Everybody is now in the same boat with respect to NIL whether you agree with it or not.
You can bitch, moan and insult about it.....but you better get in that boat. Otherwise, you will be on the outside looking in.

Get your shots in while you can, cause you all know we’re coming.

Meanwhile our women’s tennis just won the SEC and men crushed the Georgia baseball 23-9 on the road (after an opening 8-1 victory)

Best is yet to come, Fall of 2022.

thank you for your concern.
