Mett was very good, not mediocre.

Mett was a transfer, not a HS recruit to LSU. Maybe Les Miles isn't a good evaluator of QB talent.

Also, It could be that in Louisiana, there is more emphasis on the running game. That may be changing, but in the past there were fewer teams that featured passing attacks.

You're an ole miss fan starting a thread about how LSU has bad quarterbacks in comparison to Ole Miss, what did you expect?

If that's even what your post was talking about

Les isn't the only one involved in recruiting, just like every other head coach.

The emphasis on running game isn't going anywhere, next years class has top RB's but I get what you type of change you are talking about

your shitty QBs.

Ryan Perriloux started the slide when he couldn't keep his nose clean. Enter Jarrett Lee in '08, otherwise known as the Year of the Pick Six. Lee set an NCAA record for Pick Sixness in a single season. Miles uncharacteristically loses 5 games that year. A true freshman names Jordan Jefferson takes the reigns and does just well enough to keep his job for the next 3 seasons. Miles won 33 games over those 3 seasons, so it's hard to complain about QB play. The Miles philosophy is vetted. Pound the other team into submission. If you can't, the forward pass shouldn't be a crutch.

Mettenburger in 2013 showed that Miles is perfectly willing to turn the game over to the right QB. That QB must be completely ready.

So why hasn't Miles had QB's that he can trust?
2008 Perriloux - booted.
2009 Russell Shepard - QB experiment that never took off.
2010 Zach Lee - stolen at last minute by the Dodgers
2011 Mettsiah - turned out well, but took 2 yrs and Cam Cameron to develop.
2012 Gunner Keihl/Jeremy Liggins - Only One had chest. Only one had grades.
2013 Anthony Jennings - His start is on par with Jefferson & 2012 Mettsiah, but the D can't mask those deficiencies. Patience.
2014 Brandon Harris - His judgment cometh and right soon.

You really are a dimwit. WRONG, Wallace was shite and is better this year, but y'all have not won no championships. Why don't you wait until the end of the season before looking like an idiot!!

Jefferson won more games than Mett and Mett had a meltdown the last time he played in Oxford. Sorry if I wasn't impressed.

This is not a Mett thread.

And Bo has never had a melt down in a game?

Just until a few games ago, the kid was throwing 2 picks a game on average.

Typical Ole Miss D-Bag. Talking smack when they have not won anything real since the 60's. Pathetic!

7 years of shitty QB play should be unforgivable at an institution with the allure of LSU.

Who are these great qbs at other sec west programs in the last 7 years?
Bama & A&M are the only ones but AJ McCarron was never even one of the 5 best offensive players on any of his bama teams.

Both JJ and Jlee were efficient as hell in 2011. JJ struggled at the end against 2 top 5 defenses.

Mettenberger was mediocre at best?

Don't do drugs kids. That guy was one if the tougher QBs I've seen come out of the SEC in a while and is playing in the NFL.

Mediocre at best? What a troll job.
