It's a good problem to have. They rest of you are simply trying to get one.

Bama will be in spotlight week 1 against Va Tech
Even if they drop a game their preseason #1 ranking will keep them in top 5
Even if they lose a game, a team like LSU will lose tiebreaker because of more difficult schedule
They will play in SEC title game and get that bump
And the team they play in the Nat Title game will be easier than the SEC game

The only trap game Alabama's lost since New Year's Day five years ago was to top-20, 3-1 South Carolina in 2010. South Carolina went on to win the division that year and has won 77% of their games ever since. It's questionable as to whether that was even really a trap game, but it's literally the only example in the past half-decade that comes to mind.

If I said that Bama wouldn't 3-peat because a meteor wiped out the University of Alabama, it would still be a stupid post.

It's not the prediction that Alabama won't repeat again that's stupid, it's the rationale

Ding,ding,ding....folks we have a winner.

If we get cocky we will lose. That's the only way we won't repeat, if we buy into our own hype and begin to feel entitled to championships. We will have the best coached and most talented team in CFB next year, but if we lose our mental toughness we will be just like 2010 bama.

Not a more truthful statement has been posted!! Well done!!

Wow. Why so many angry bama fans? Yall just won ur 3 NC in 4 years. So what if i think yall cant do it again. The chances are very slim, even slimmer then this past year and u wont have ur starting NFL O-LINE this year to bail u out and with out them this past year would have lost 2 more games.

I ain't even mad....you're just an idiot though

Im tired of hearing all this talk about bama winning it again. First off let me say good job to saban and his team for winning another NC. they will not win it again this year because even with a easy schedule they have a target on there back and every team they play next year will bring there A game for a chance to knock off the 2 time champ. I dont see bama getting up for all 12 games this season and its not the big games they have to worry about cause its easy to get up for them. Its those trap teams and sleeper teams they to be on the look out for.

Don't be surprised if someone makes this their Sig text in the next day or so... Quite possibly, the dumbest shite ever written by an LSU fan ...Let that sink in for a second

I didn't read a single reply to this thread but all you had to say was "Texas A&M and Johnny Football".

I don't think he's saying it's stupid because he's not predicting Bama to 3-peat, I think he's saying that the reasoning is stupid! Like someone else said....Bama has had a target on their backs since 2009. Had a bigger target after 2011. After a while it starts to look like haterism for such an ignorant post.

This was said last year. Kinda hard to use the same argument again.

I feel pretty good about giving Saban 9 months to prepare for TAMU so after we kick little johnny's arse in College Station we'll be headed back to the SECCG. Then we'll see.

I feel other posters have pointed out the flaws in your argument and ripped to shreds your feigned attempt at logic. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Bama won't 3-peat because they probably won't win the SEC next year. No team has repeated as SEC Champ in almost 15 years.

I don't think 2011 will ever happen again where a team doesn't win their conference and will still be National Champs.

Plenty of great teams have failed to repeat as SEC Champs. 2009 UF and 2010 Bama teams were loaded and LSU 2012 imploded. All failed most recently.

Exactly. While the odds of any one team repeating is not that good, Bama definitely has the highest probability. Of course past performance does not guarantee future results but in Saban's case it's a pretty good bet.

Bama actually has a better chance of winning it all in 2013 than they did in 2012 imo

Bama won during a rebuilding year, basically..

I fricking hate it when LSU fans post something dumb about Alabama, are serious, and make it even easier for the Gumps on this board.
