Every fan base has their preferred outlets. Some like trolling message boards. Some go more for poisoning trees, tea-bagging people and threatening kickers' lives.

I don't think it's the expecting greatness part, it's the entitlement to greatness and shrugging off anyone who suggests Bama could be anything but great. And LSU fans get trolled as much as anyone, by everyone, every time they lose a game. Every team is generally trolled relentlessly that either 1) is yearly one of the top teams in the SEC/nation; 2) has a large fan base on the website; or 3) had people in their fan base get, possibly justifiably, confident early only to have their bubbles burst later in the season. I've seen it with LSU, Ole Miss, A&M, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee....almost every team in the conference outside Auburn and Missouri this season.

What's weird is people start threads like this when it always has been and always be an expected occurrence, whether it be on the radio, internet, whatever. I don't know why it bothers people so much. It's not like many people are very serious about what they say, just trying to get a rise out of people because we've all been there at one time or another and love to return the favor. All part of being a college football fan IMO. It's why I can't stand losing to Ole Miss, because I know I'll be hearing about it for the rest of the year from all the guys I grew up with. And I love messing with them after games like last Thursday.
