re: Why are Mizzou fans so Pro-Gay? Sam was one player out of 85.

Why are you so threatened?

I don't believe any Mizzou fans are celebrating his gayness. Maybe most are just more tolerant of individual difference. While Sam may be the first openly gay NFL player on a roster, I am fairly confident he is not the first or only gay within that fraternity.

The only reason this stays in our faces, is that some just can't let it go. (This includes Kilz! Drop it!)

Strictly going by what we are seeing here on the SECr and elsewhere brah. Y'all are all about Sam and gayness these days.

Listen ... your current players have to circle the wagons around Sam, they've been pushed into a no-win corner, having a big fleshy white-cake covered tongue rammed down their throats so-to-speak.

It should be up to you fans to show a little public love for the many other players who contributed last season. I fear that y'all are forever being tatted-up with the unenvious stigma of being the gay program, and fan base, in the conference. Something so many of you had always taken great pleasure in bestowing on the Aggies prior to this past NFL draft.

Also, your current in-state prospects could be taking notice ... fearing that where there was one, there could be many more.

if our in-state prospects are afraid of gay people then they're welcome to go elsewhere.

See, see right there! Point proven. You're either Pro-Gay at Mizzou or you are not welcome there.

Subject line of thread is accurate. Thank you.

It's not about hating Gay people you MORON! It's about keeping your private life, PRIVATE! It has nothing to do with the North and south, it's what's right and wrong.
Two things.

1. I simply don't believe anything you wrote. Religion is a private matter, yet athletes are constantly displaying their faith in God without anyone batting an eye. Do you not think it is a bit contradictory that everyone wants athletes to keep their private lives private but are perfectly okay with public displays of faith.

2. How can you say it isn't about hating gay people and then go on to say it is about what's right and wrong? It isn't exactly a leap to say you are calling gay people wrong in which case it is hard to say you are not hating gay people. Who are you to judge what is right and wrong? If I am misinterpreting your comment, please let me know actually what you meant.

Michael Sam's coming our publicly is a big deal regardless of whether you want it to be or not. Him getting drafted showed that being gay doesn't negatively impact your professional life as well as gave many younger athletes struggling with their identity a role model that is doing what they love. This is something that was going to happen eventually, and hopefully it gives others the courage to come out publicly as well.

'pro-gay' isn't even a thing. being gay is no different from having brown eyes or blonde hair.

if you mean that we prefer to not have bigots associated with the University of Missouri, though, then you're correct.

If "Anti-Gay" is a "thing ... then so is "Pro-Gay."

You completely missed the pun I guess.

One thread on the Mizzou board about Sam vs. neverending threads on this board. Plenty of threads about our other drafted players on the Mizzou board.

You seem to be VERY interested in exploring this subject.

You'd have a better point if Sam wasn't the SEC defensive player of the year. Obviously Clowney is more highly regarded as a pro, but think about the hype he got after 2012. Sam was arguably Mizzou's most important player on one of their best teams ever.

Yah he used to just be obsessed with Mizzou, but now he's obsessed with gay mizzou. Probably fapping to a picture of Sam right now
