Who said Bama fans are scared of him? I personally want him to coach at LSU until the day he dies. He's funny (as in a laugh at him, not with him way) and mostly underperforms as a coach 1-3 times a year.

Statements like this , prove you don't know what you're talking about

Do you live in a comic book universe? Do you really believe anyone is trembling at the thought of playing Les Miles?

Its the talent level of the players not the incompetence of Les Miles that makes them good.

Live in your dream world, LSU is becoming the Georgia of the West.

Fear is a choice. Danger is very real, but fear is a choice. And I choose to fear this man:

Dude wakes up screaming at 3 in the morning, trying to escape a Crimson dream, and, whistling past the graveyard, starts a shite thread like this. Damn.

I'm not sure why any coach/team should be "feared". Just play the damn game!

I don't think it can be argued who the most consistent threat to Bama's dominance has been for the last few years. We'll all find out if the fire is still there in two weeks.

Yes- I'm STILL looking forward to this game in a gigantic way.

I'll go ahead and say it

21-0

So that's 4-3, with a natty. Thanks for playing.

It's Miles coaching ability in pressure situations that really terrifies me

I respect Les. Period.

The man has class. After every big win, I hear him not just say the right thing, but genuinely respect his opponent. And after the Ole Miss loss, his words reminded me of Coach Bryant the way he took ALL the blame. He didn't say "I am the coach, I take responsibility" and then proceed to explain how everyone else failed (the way so many do these days). You can hear the genuine passion in his voice.

I have more respect for Les Miles and LSU than any other program in this conference. I love to joke about the fans ("swamp taliban" is my own original term) but there's no question who my most respected opponent is.

... yep, his class is always on display, finger in ear, grass in teeth.

He may be the single goofiest head coach I've seen in 50 years of closely watching college football. And he may freeze in games, be an absent-minded-professor dealing with his team, but...

In his defense, LSU plays a clean hard game on the field. They are never a dirty, cheap-shot, team like Florida State or some others. They are generally well organized and prepared... 1-9 being an exception that may be explained by Alabama just being the better team.

He benefits by having a fertile recruiting ground. Doubt he would have similar sucess at another school... but LSU, if you can put up with the expectations, is a good job and he is lucky to have it.
