I think the reason some of our fans appear delusional is our level of sophistication as a whole. This Board is an outlet, an escape from our stuffy, high-end lives; we are able to temporarily dumb it down and have fun, all the while knowing we are - overall - the dominant conference force.

I lived in LR for 7 years and I can tell you two things:
• Arkansans are quite defensive about the perception of their state. Which is a shame, because Arkansas is a fantastic place; I wish I lived there today.
• Hog fans have what is even for the SEC a noticeably pathological hatred of other schools. A near-violent hatred, at least among the fans I observed and interacted with. For example, I'd never watch an LSU-Arkansas game with a room full of Hog fans, out of fear for my physical well being. This certainly is connected to the disrespect that, rightly or wrongly, Hog fans believe their school receives from the other schools.
