Yeah, I am sure that Coach Chizik cut one of our backup corners to make room for someone or because he was "average" I mean, we have so much depth on defense, 3 scholarship players that play corner full time,it will cause no issues at all.

Dude must have screwed the pooch royally to get kicked to the curb.

we realize that but Chizik did kind of throw him under the bus by calling him average at best

Chizik was not referring to him at dismissal, he was referring to his play in the ARky game...

Head coach Gene Chizik was less than enthusiastic about Adams' performance in that game, calling his play "average, at best."

Your beat writer characterized it in a different context. Here's the whole thing:

quote:

Sophomore cornerback Harry Adams has been dismissed from the team for breaking an unspecified team rule, an Auburn University official confirmed today.

Adams, a Fort Lauderdale native, played mostly in nickel formations this season, picking up six tackles. He saw his most action against Arkansas, when starting corner Walt McFadden went down with an injury.

Asked how Adams played, Gene Chizik kept praise to a minimum.

“Average,“ he said. “At best.“

Adams played in eight games last season, mostly on special teams, picking up one tackle. He was recruited to play wide receiver, converted to cornerback, switched back to wide receiver during the spring before moving back to cornerback in August.

The Tigers now have just four scholarship cornerbacks.

I agree. You pour a beer on someone either you or him is going to get your arse whipped.

I don't have a problem with football players that fight, I like that.

Read the full article I posted. What I posted isn't taken out of context from it.

eta- Rereading.. I guess I could see yalls twisted point of view on it. lol Still, to say that after he's been kicked to the curb ain't exactly a classy way to handle things. But, if you gotta make room, you gotta make room.

Primary backup corner. Auburn played him in Nickel and Dime.

That would be Demond Washington

Obviously said after the Arky game. Adams dismissal was announced by a university spokesman, not the HC. Damn, if you want to flame us, at least use something with a kernel of truth to it.

I am hearing that there is more to this story. I am hearing that he may have been leaking information to other teams before Auburn played them. Damn!!

I bet he has the goods on Auburn.

I hate to side with the Aubbies on this one, but it looks more like a case of poor writing than anything else. I'm pretty sure the only coach in the league who would throw a player under the bus like that in the media is Kiffin.
