Very few Bama fans are expecting a huge year from Coker. The overwhelming statement from Bama fans on here and in the real world is that Coker can be above average and perhaps above average QB play may be all Bama needs to be in the hunt this year.

There's a lot of hype, though. The more reasonable fans are pretty clear that they're optimistic but know there will be an adjustment period, but there are a lot of fans who think he's the 2nd coming. Of whom, I have no idea.
I blame whatshisface, the QB coach at FSU. He's the one that got the Coker hype train in top gear with his favorable comparisons of Coker to Jameis. I admit the measurables look damned good, but there's still going to be growing pains.

Mauk in the East, Coker in the West. Other guys include LF and the new WR for Auburn, Duke something. I think they could have good years overall but their respective fanbases are way over hyping them, especially without playing a down of real football. LF could break 1000 yards though, 4 true freshman running backs have surpassed 1000 yds in the past 4 years.

Has there ever been a true freshman more hyped than LF? The dude is making all-sec mentions and Heisman lists.
I just don't see how it could be anything but a disappointment. He may have a 500 yard + season, but that will never be enough considering the hype flowing around before he even enters fall camp.
